Shield suggestion(s)

Hello all!

Back online for a quick 1/2 hour (baby asleep, 3 year old watching a learn french video and my wife at the christmas sales!)

Shields look fabulous guys. I suggest that I offer an option in the Player Details to be able to use different "banks" of shields:

e.g. "originals" (Speccy LOM + my gfx), "Enhanced - Perun 1", "Enhanced Perun 2", "Enhanced player_xxxx", etc.

One VERY important thing though - I cannot accept ANY gfx that are not the copyright of the submitter, as this would leave me in a very dodgy situation. If you submit a set, you must include a statement as to the copyright status of the gfx. I will also get the local gfx option working at some stage, so that you can all use any gfx that you wish.

Speaking of copyright - Iggy, what is the status of the images that you have so kindly supplied me with (eg banners, buttons). Do you wish to retain copyright or do you waive this? I don't mind either way, but I need to know so that if you withdraw permission for use then I can always have a backup set available!!!

Hammer shield - very nice!

BTW, there was a slight hiccup in the Christmas lords upload. If you started a game on the 24th or 25th, you will only get one lord, but 2 garrisons(!), after that it is corrected and the second lord appears. I forgot to set a flag on one of the records.

Copyright: Mentioning me somewhere would be nice. Other praises aren't necessary. Although, if you have a couple of megapounds you don't need, send them my way ;D.

Banners, buttons and dividers are made with Webstyle, so are royalty free.

Army variations are taken from original Mike's game (as are all landscape graphics), then modified by me, so I guess are also free.

Shields (except where explicitly mentioned) are all my designs, so as long as above holds, anyone is free to use them any way he/she likes.

No, and neither is this one, though it's a fair substitute...





P.S. All my shields are free of copyright encumberances. Treat them as GPL (do what you want with them, just don't restrict their use), I guess.

Just to reiterate - I have nor problem if people wish to retain copyright, I just need an email or webpost that states that I can use them in MU.

Although I kind of prefer the Celebaglar's shield. Possibly because it wasn't made by stripping a graphic from the OU's website, badly scaling it and uploading it.

Say, would animated gifs work?

Plus, of course, a big spiky fortress is much cooler than a circle, even if it is orange. How could I forget that?

On the whole I think the bastion shield is better. The shape is interesting, too.

After the "is that all" post, I'm not seeing any gfx in the posts. Was there a new shield posted? If so please send it through by email for uploading to the site (remember, transparent background please - saves me firing up Photo Editor)
