The enemy appears to have retreated into the remote fastnesses of the deep south. It looks like I will have to go a-hunting...

I should think that if I lose this game, I'll never hear the end of it! Good starting position in the North, and it looks like both me enemies started in the South. Plus Mads started in the same place that I did in game 1, which is Game Over pretty much! (I can say now - was it Corelay?) I don't see Corelay as a dead spot anymore. King to Dawn, Dawn to Morning, Morning to KurAruth Dawn to Mitharg, Evasta to Gard to Torkren, King to Marakith to Kumar, Marakith bend down and sweep Zerin, Xaj, Tujarg, rejoin at Dregrim.

But, if like me you started mid-way between Flowers and Xajorkith, it's hard to get much. I couldn't even get Dregrim - you got there first!

That's what I've been thinking actually! It does mention Corelay being Corleth's home in the LoM manual/story, doesn't it?

J-Y, I don't think it is remotely possible for you to lose this game. My position is even worse than that in the previous game we had, where you graciously abandoned it as being no contest. From what I can tell, Mads is probably only very marginally better off, and you hold the entire north and even some of the south. For a three player game, I don't think anyone could hope for a better position.
With Mads starting in Corelay, and me in the Mountains of Odrark, just west of the keep, we were always going to struggle. I reached Brith quickly, but by the time I got Blood, you'd already bagged Gorgrath and Moon and were moving into Shadows ahead of me.
Them I bumped into Mads at Morning, and I knew the game was up.

Shall we Resign this one, or would you and Mads like to play an Alliance against me (obviously the system will treat the two of you as foes, so don't try to unite armies together)? That's what I'm doing in another game, and it's great fun!)

I'm all for the alliance thing Suits me. It's not like I have anything to lose... That's the way the cookie crumbles. He took a calculated risk and it didn't pay off. Sure. ;D I'd still put my money on J-Y though. He's infiltrated deep into the southwest and will get to Kumar first, unless you've beaten him to it. Everything to the north of that is most likely his by now.

I've some idea as to what the two of you plan, but you're both such slippery eels that I'm probably way off!
Sorry about the Kumar episode, by the way. Incy Wincy Spider caught him in his web just in time ;D

Why do you run Little Mouse? Why do you scuttle away down south with your tail between your legs?
Come back Mouseling, come back and play.

The terms of this game are mine to dictate, Little One. First, I shall crsuh your miserable ally, the Celeburglar. His citadel of Shimeril will be stained green with the blood of his minions.
Or of course I could pop down to where you are sitting at Xaj and throw wave upon wave of my ugrak-Hai at your oh-so-pretty little city.
It is of no matter to me. I shall send your head in a box to the fair Ali as a present for her Rodent Collection (to go next to the head of the Squirrel Lord)

Such big talk will turn my warriors' legs to jelly! ;D Every one of my men has taken his goodbyes of his loved ones and is ready to meet his fate. All that remains is honour and death!
