That would be Teris. However, the next line speaks of a 'claim' related to losses while clearing. That would be Lackey.
So this doesn't really get us anywhere. I still think the MH2 policy is easier.

Brief write up of events;- Teris of [Corleth] colonises an isle which had been cleared by Makari of [Orc].
- Teris and Makari along with Nottap of [Corleth] were discussing what would happen to the isle.
- Internally Morkin had decided to give the isle back and Teris would settle for compensation for the lost coloship.
- Out of the blue a fleet, with cats, sent by Makari arrives at said isle and successfully colonises it. The fleet was apparently sent before Teris took the isle but whilst negotiating Makari never mentioned it. More importantly is that Makari wasn't aware we'd agreed to give the isle back yet.
- In retaliation Ashimar sends a fleet sent off to a different isle belonging to Makari.
- My favourite part: Orc threatens Ashimar and he tells them to bring it
How's that? Personally I think Makari should have mentioned he had that fleet en-route; perhaps Ashimars response was over the top but thats 'backbone' for you. Eitherway I know Ashimar is a member of Morkin that I don't want to see exit the game, I don't even think he should sell up but I know that sometimes the money (and free time) is too tempting.

How's that? Exalts for that! So could an administrator inform us on if we are getting involved?

Very well (Exalt). And boy what a good exercise to put our policy on test.
Even so, we're talking about Corleth here, Morkin's military branch who really are much hot-headed than us. Corleth has a mind of its own on these matters, and we cant always keep them under our hood.
Basicly we should restrict ourselves to either siding with Corleth or not.

Slightly edited since that quote but not by much (most of the edit was adding the extra paragraph at the bottom).
I imagine that of all KoM I'll be one of the first to send fleets but I can't see that happening before tomorrow afternoon. Diplomacy still has time to work its magic and if we do decide on war we'll probably need some time to look at targets etc.

Ahhhh..... I don't know how I missed this thread. So let me get this straight...we're afraid to break our current pacts because we don't want war, and yet we're jumping into another war?

...we're afraid to break our current pacts because we don't want war... Not related but: We are trying to shake our pacts because we (and our allies) are untouchable and the game is boring. And we are not going to war with Orc if it can be avoided.

I follow Marc into battle, regardless.
I've expressed my concern about this not being a "Just War", but having said my $0.02, I reiterate that I follow Marc into battle regardless.
As I do anyone who carries a Morkin Quadvirant alliance tag.

Under these circumstances i don't see Morkin or Luxor or KoM entering the war.
1. If Ashimar really attacked some other isle, it was out of line. 2. If we "Smite the Orcs like a rotten cow" thats far from being a honorable war. 3. Killing the Orcs makes this server more boring place.

"What is right is very rarely easy, and what is easy is very rarely right." -Some dead person who was wiser than I am Similarly "War does not determine who is right, only who is left" Ashimar should have all our backing whether it was out of line or not. I sick of orcs doing what they like. They might make the Official forums that little bit more interesting but they a permanent annoyance to most in game.
