I'm currently playing 9. Don't know if that is the max, but it's near. Some are slow, and some are pretty straightforward, coming to late stages. And only one of them is 2p.

Agree with most of you, however, to let the dust settle until new games are set up Tournament maybe?

I have some bad news, especially for Fernando . Due to space restrictions on my host (I'm limited to just 10Mb), I will have to limit the number of concurrent games per player to 2 or 3 at most. I've been checking the DB size and we are already > 3Mb, just in beta. I may also have a feature that zaps games if: a) There has been no activity for > 1 week b) The game is older than 1 month I don't particularly want to, but the only ways around it would be to either: a) Buy some more web space b) Spread the game over several hosts I can't really justify spending money on MU at the moment (not until the mortgage is paid off anyway!) plus I don't want to charge anyone for playing (don't think that I could anyway, given the copyright on LOM), and I don't want the hassle of administering several sites. Sorry Fernando! Still, during beta testing I won't impose a limit, and I don't see an imminent end to the beta as yet

The www.uklinux.net host is free, ad-free, and super easy to setup anything (ie no bl**dy wizards, just pages of settings for FTP etc, no fuss . Essentially, it supports PHP 4.x and MySQL 3.x running on Linux Red Hat 7. The OS is actually not that important as PHP/MySQL are cross-platform. I like using them because they are big advocates of free software and actively push the concept foward (ie they don't just "talk" free software). The money that they get from upgraded subscriptions (such as mine, most basic level + 1) is put back into the free software movement. <climbs off advocacy high horse!>

I could see that they have good athmosphere at their site, and i understand why you like it. Maybe they'll really let you have more space if you ask.

They do have an option where they will host Free Software projects for free with greater capacity. However, because the original LOM is still copyrighted, I don't know how comfortable they would feel about that, unless I had an email/letter from Mike Singleton saying "go ahead".
Worth asking them I suppose.

I have 239Mb of my 250Mb free. My ISP is plusnet and I'm on their ADSL 520Kb service. If you're reluctant to change ISP I don't know if I can give you access to my webspace? I'd have to look into it.
