Since the things currently stay as they stay no matter is the terrain visible or not behind some terrain because in IE view is drawn slowly so i can see entire environment in radius of 6 around my lord or fortress..
JY didn't decide yet is it more likely view drawn slowly and everything is visible or view drawn immidiately and player see exactly what the lord can see..
When a decision about it would be brought he will know what and how to make a dynamic map..

When possible the View should be drawn instant. It is currently an exploit that you can see an army in the distance behind mountains and forests etc... thus my original question about the gdlib landscape window. This is made marginally worse by the fact you can then view source to see if there is an army graphic on the page. Although this is obviously something that everyone can use to their advantage, I think it is a gameplay issue that should be removed. The number one goal for all online games is the removal of cheating and exploits. - After bugs that cause your machine to crash obviously!

Uh, that has been raised before, and I thought that bug/exploit had been fixed. By empiric control right now I find that this one is still open, I hadn't expected that. Wouldn't it be possible to solve the exploit by generating a full picture serverside, and then load that directly to the browser, or will that consume too much CPU-time? Not to mention use to much space of generated views, even with vigourous garbage control?

Yes, that is what we are discussing, the dynamic map was an aside... Sorry, I haven't been paying attention to this discussion before just now, when I read that exploit still was around.
