I am going to stick my neck out here and say that Beta 0.1g should be ready for release this Sunday, barring any last minute major coding disasters! We have two options: - Give you all another week to complete games, and implement late next week
- Scrap existing games on Saturday night, giving everyone the chance to concentrate on a couple of games that they really want to finish first
Current progress status:I am completing the Invites system, and some rework is required on the end-game mechanism. I estimate about 3 hours work, so hopefully Sunday is OK. Please reply in the M/MU General forum on your preferred choice for implementation dates. Thanks BTW, not every bug and suggestion has been tackled, but most importantly, Ringthane can now play as a female targ

Aaaaargh!!! (part 1) 3 hours?! Am I nuts (no need to answer that one ) More like 3 times that amount.... Still, it's now 99% there, but a new bug has just popped up (transfer buttons no longer respond, probably a Javascript bug), so that needs working on. Also, I need to populate the new lords, which should take about 1 hour. And make the shields. Another hour. Oh well Aaaaargh!!! (part 2) Forgot that my brother and sister in-law were coming down this w/e, so I won't be able to release the beta on Sunday, or work on it at all over the w/e. So it's Monday or Tuesday next week probably.

Well, the inevitable has happened. I am going to have to delay the 0.1g release *again* until sometime next week. Too many small, hard to track- bugs have surfaced during regression testing. The whole thing is pretty much complete now, but just occasionally I get the strangest behaviour, and digging deep I find a bug that only gets triggered on certain rare occasions.
Plus I still need to complete the new lords/garrisons and shields.
So rather than giving you another "fixed" date which gets blown out of the water, I'll keep my options open and just say "next week", rather than a specific date.
Many apologies, it's all for the good in the long run. And we get to finish our games, so there's always a silver lining!

A little clarification: basically, I'm just not getting a large enough continuous period of free time to run proper tests and carry out remedial coding. At most I get small periods ranging from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, so it's hard to achieve any continuity of thought when testing. So it's less a technical issue rather than a process one. I should have quite a bit more free next week though.

It's going to be Wednesday or Thursday. Depends on my free time.
Couple of minor niggles left, but they are very minor and can be fixed afterwards without impact on the games.
Also, I probably won't have the shields done in time, but again that is not important to the game mechanics.
Finally, the Victory Conditions are written but not tested enough, and as I won't get enough time this week, I'll just disable them until they're ready (next week?). Just a matter of switching a flag on their database records. So 0.1g should be superseded by 0.1h quite quickly!

It's tomorrow, starting at circa 08:30. The site will probably be offline for an hour, but you will not be able to login to the members area until probably Friday AM, though I may be able to carry out all final checks before that. We'll see.
Fingers crossed!

The files are all uploaded, but for some reason there are a bunch of strange bugs occuring - eg cannot log out, does not display the other players drop down lists on New Game 2, etc, etc. All working fine on my dev PC. Will investigate, but looks like you guys may not get back on until tomorrow
