Where would you choose to go, and what is the attraction: Skiing in the Mountains of Torkren, Hiking in the Downs of Athoril, Shopping in the Markets of Xajokith?

Its a though one!
Lake Elenil or mountains of Dreams...
Forest of Kor woudnt be bad either. Man.. i really wish to go there, and see it all.
I voted for Mountains of Dreams, a two week holiday in a small cabin. Hiking around. You know...

Yeah, it appeals. Raging gales and hail outside, and cozy inside a fire-lit wooden hut. With a moat and alligators, and spears on every wall. Throwing pebbles from up there at the heads of innocent Fey bypassers down below as they delve into the woods for a quicky ;D

Lake Elenil... Or at least the Domain of Silence.
Tucked away, cosy, everything you need all enclosed within a handy mountain ring. Roaring fires in the villages, solitude in the tower, romantic walks in the forests, general purpose peace, tranquility, and Silence... And Lord Gard nearby. He always struck me as a friendly, rather parochial lord. Down to earth and good fun.
The Domain of Silence, see you there!

I think nothing can compare to mountains.
In Zazie en metro, the girl is asked, what she would like to do when she grew up, and she replied that she wanted to be an astronaut, the reason being, that way she could s.h.i.t on the heads of everyone. They then managed to convince her she wasn't suited for an astronaut, and her second choice was to be a teacher, because then she could at least s.h.i.t on the heads of the little ones.
Well, you get a feeling, similar to what she was striving to achieve, by hiking in the mountains.

That's exactly as I would have pictured it with the beauty and grandeur of say the Yosamite NP. Except you forgot the hot springs! I could definitely picture Lake Elenil being quite warm. Congratulations to you and your partner!

David was a very popular name in our generation. Not so now. Where was he from? It's a big country. I currently live about 2000km from my home town.

Where do I book a holiday for two to the Plains of Moon in a good hotel and all the trimmings? Besides, I hear the fishing's good at Lake Gloom. It's not Lake Garda for sheer beauty, but if the company's good, who cares?
