Seems to be completely sourrounded by mountains, so in an impassable mountains scenario, he could only be recruited by a dwarf. Intentionally?

Yes, all others ar no longer sourrounded. But unless he moved him quite recently, after a number of games in 2 were already started, then Smiles is still where he was.

As he had forgotten that he was mountain locked and didn't want to change the map.. moving him was easy... he's not far away from his original position!
