Game 21, "Adrenaline". Scenario: The Fall of Ringthane. The problem is visible below, bearing in mind that Ringthane is ahead at the lake. The same applies to Morgallis as to Tuhr. Neither can join the other 9 allies at the battle. However, previously in the same game, 16 lords were able to attack 7 other lords at a citadel without problems.

The more amazing of all this is that you use the same skin that I use in FireFox.

The more amazing of all this is that you use the same skin that I use in FireFox. Considering how long the skinning abilities of Netscape/Mozilla have been around, there is a real shortage of decent skins for it. As a result, I'm not all that surprised we chose the same one.

I have seen this from time to time since the beginning. Sometimes it happens after 9 armies have attacked, the rest can't 'attack', but they can simply move into the square. They don't go to night, and can in theory move further if they want to. If you simply 'move' them into the battle and leave them there, they will have participated in the battle next time you check. Even so, it would be a good idea to leave the game for J-Y to examine. That's exactly what I have done, since the result is a foregone conclusion. I realise that I could "move" the two into the battle, but that's just a work-around and does not address the bug, or more importantly, the trigger. So the game stays until J-Y has time to peruse it, after which I will press "End turn" and end it. ;D

That is indeed an old bug, happens when 9+ lords are involved in a battle. I put it to good use once, chasing Ringthane when he put a defended citadel of Kor between us. I moved the three rider lords after I attacked the citadel with all the warrior lords and they were able to pass through the citadel without entering the battle.

The trouble is that it doesn't ALWAYS happen when you have 9+ lords in a fight. Like I said, a previous fight had many more than that in the same game, and there was no sign of this bug.

Will have a look at this again. It is indeed an old bug, but I completely forgot about it as it's never happened to me.
Could you send me the raw html that is generated for the view that is in the screen dump above? That might help a little in debugging this one.

Excuse me? You know, RAM 7 or something. It was no question of who will win, just when I'll catch you. I did not wish to prolong it.

It's happened again, in game 11 "Heresy at Dawn". I can confirm it doesn't always happen as the previous day saw me attack with nearly 20 armies without the bug showing. Again I am attacking a sole enemy, whereas the previous day I attacked 8. I am stalling the game in case you want the raw html again. As with the other game, it will be over as soon as I press "End Turn".

To save me running off to the server for data, could you tell me:
Terrain type that you are on Terrain type that you are about to attacK Does it happen for ALL lords that are about to attack If you have another lord nearby who is not in main group, does he have the same problem What type of units are attacking, what are defending (including any garrison). ie race, riders, warriors what day it is what time of day (are all lords at same time, or do they have different hours left, and if so do they all have the same issue?) Anything else that you may think of that you might consider a contributing factor.
Please do NOT click on END TURN. I will download the game data and try to replicat ethe bug on my dev PC.
I confess that I had not looked at this bug yet (but it IS on the todo list! Honest)
