Yes, yes. The first of many I'm sure To date, I have been exceedingly lucky with games. Either I've started in good locations, or my opponents have obliged me with some spectacular own-goals at crucial moments. One thinks of Merlin's solo march into the path of 5 of my most eager hunting packs at Dawn, or Ringy's insistence on splitting his troops at Ushgarak when I had my full force at Kor and thus had a chance to strike him with my weaker forces. Ah, happy times. Still, the lucky streak cannot persist, and certainly alliances will make bumping players off much more easy (witness Matija's demise in this game, despite his seemingly unassailable numerical advantage).

Not really - I still have to etch this game into the hall of fame!

Good game gentlemen, if a little bizarre! Ringy, you did a splendid job of keeping the Dark Lord busy whilst us soft southerners marched north. Out of interest Matija, what was your game plan once you knew that the three of us were ganging up on you? Kill Ringthane, kill JY, kill Natmus, in that order. Should have stopped chasing R the moment I noticed you left Korkith, but I was already smelling blood at that time.

Thought so, which was why I was surprised to find you so far south of your citadels. But lopping off Ringy's head is very satisfying, I have to admit!

Hmmm... I had all my lords left except the bats, and I could have retreated very easily to Gorgrath. From memory, I'd say that I still had over 8,000 troops left near the king. JeanYves himself was at a full force of riders so if push came to shove he could have retreated S to pick up more troops - I had an additional 1,500 or so knocking around Shimeril, Dawn and Xajorkith, plus ~500 dwarves at Kur aruth. How does that compare with your troops? How big would the final party have been?

That's true certainly. Mine were mostly Tired or Very Tired, except Xaj and Thrall who were somewhat invigorated I think. But I would not have moved out of my keep against you - rather I would have kept refreshing and let you come to me. No matter anyway - I'm happy to concede the victory to you if you so wish.

One of the reasons I resigned was to leave JY a fighting chance. I might have almost halved his troops, I think, if I fought to the bitter end.
