We should be absolutly sure that we're not going to deal with DIGG in the near future before attempting to hit Rahien. Dont take me wrong. I want the bugger. He's got one of my islands, but we cannot afford things to turn into 3 fronts (Orc, Hor, DIGG). I think we should keep Rahien under a slow brew...

Well, Phil has offered to move the threads containing the DBS allegations to our Embassy on the DIGG forums. Who here has access to the Embassy?
He also made a few comments along the lines of "we are re-evaluating a lot of things we were led to believe". I get the impression they are trying to back away from a Morkin war now, and can use the excuse that Evil Clause was telling them lies about us.
*shrugs*
War with DIGG looks a lot less likely today than it did yesterday. Maybe we should co-ordinate a coherent short sharp campaign against Rahein. Pick about 20 isles in locations we want and have a communal effort to clear and take them quickly. Then just announce that we have "suitably chastised Rahein for his foolish warmongering" and leave it at that.

That's the crazy world of IK politics for you!
A short (we're talking 2 or 3 days here) organised, focused campaign against Rahein wouldn't be too expensive and would be good training for the troops. And keep the more headstrong members from doing something rash and stupid. And demonstrate our preparedness, organisation and willingness to use force.
Somebody draw up a list of target isles in nice locations, I'm going to be offline for a bit.

Nobody seems to have access to our Embassy area at Digg.
And i'm for burning Rahein on a slow flame. Anything can happen, so lets not take a quick and expensive campaign at him. We should use him to train those idlers and passives. Perfect corpse to shoot at.

Where are the Digg forums anyway?
According to Phil, the 2 DBS threads are now in our Embassy and "when you read them you'll understand why we believed it".

Right, I've seen the threads in question and right now I'm ready to declare a fatwah on Clause and have him hunted down and ritually slaughtered with maximum prejudice. Relevant Clause posts I could swear there was another thread on this, but anyhow... The deathbystoning account started acting "unusual". Threatening other members to 1-on-1 fights, ignoring or responding very rudely to historical friends in the game, etc. So Morkin snatched the account, the same was I was able to get the bin_man account. Upon inspection, they found that Prometheus (Jayrozzer) was completely abusing it - crossing the brink on multi status. Morkin found out that Prometheus (formerly Jayrozzer) has been managing the account since Deathbystoning quit. They pulled some strings, and with a bit of luck, were able to get into the account. Sure enough, Prometheus has been sending shipments from it to his islands. So they straight jacked it. Now Prometheus is asking me about it. He's trying to be vague, using "Mr. X loses his account, and Mr. Evil suddenly asks for a 1-on-1 fight with the account that they previously declined", type thing. But he's clearly pissed about having the account jacked from him. Basically, Jayrozzer used the account to challenge Natmus to a one-on-one fight a few weeks ago, which is what raised Morkin eyebrows that it was no longer in the possession of their good friend deathbystoning. Now that it's in Morkin hands, Natmus has accepted the challenge. Morkin intends to destroy the account one way or another - either straight deletion, or getting into a "fight" with it and taking the islands. They believe that the fact it was used as a straight-up multi for Prometheus gives them justified right to do their covert ops to hijack the account and put it to death. Just an FYI on something brewing - Prometheus has also told Morkin that they'll destroy Morkin if the account is touched in a one-on-one, and he suspects (but cannot prove) that Morkin is behind the hijacking. Check the "Bin_man" thread. I used a Morkin-trick Wink Anyhow, everyone thinks the Morks hibernate outside of the cataclysmic wars, but they seem to get bored just watching their fleets refresh, and dabble in the cloak-and-dagger quite heavily. I'd venture a guess that their intel network could put ours to shame... Well, ours ain't bad, and I may have been a bit overstating when I said "put ours to shame". But everything I've seen (pretty much everything besides IGM, and most of that as well), they're pretty well-connected. Everybody respects Morkin, so everybody is willing to sell out their mates for a chance to impress them - even Admin-level players of rival alliances from time to time. Anyhow, I was so excited about the bin_man account, I glossed over your questions... 1. Morkin managed to hijack the account through... well... let's just say you really probably don't want to know. 2. DJ Giftgas - no, no evidence he is a multi, just challenging the deathbystoning account to a one-on-one fight, leading to Prometheus suspicions that DJ Giftgas is the account hijacker. 3. Deathbystoning left the game, it appears, yes. 4. The "deathmatch" was only arranged by Jayrozzer, in control of the deathbystoning account at the time, because I would assume he figured he could at least severely weaken an enemy.

Right, I've seen the threads in question and right now I'm ready to declare a fatwah on Clause and have him hunted down and ritually slaughtered with maximum prejudice. Its more complicated than that. I've read all the messages and taken out of contex they look worse. These things he said were actually trying to make Morkin look worthy and Awesome, but nevertheless it was a leak, and confirms he still had allegiance towards Digg, or at least wanted to impress them. To me, he once (Way before any of these events) said, that he may have hinted it was Morkin who had DBS account, but only because it was strongly suspected by Digg already. It fits in what we know, but does not really confirm anything to any direction. Half truths and shady stuff. Well the thing is he shouldn't have had the knowledge in the first place and we shouldn't hold it too severely against him. Someone did tell him that. I'm not blaming anybody since i know there was no ill intent doing so and these things allways turn to interesting events. I just say that even i am the one here who trusts him the most, i still wouldnt have told him that because it just was not a thing he would have needed to know, and the info was on Morkin part of the board and i've got the expression that what is said there stays there.

I was wondering the Bin_man connection as well, and currently i don't know what to think.
But we must try to grab the opportunity and try to save Sol.

The important question here is whats the situation?
WHO is in talks with Digg? Dalfiatech? What do you tell them? What do they say?
We need this info to be posted here. Its a difficult situation and i need to know where we stand. Sol is asking me is it true Clause leaked info. So its out already...
There is more to this and we need to talk to eachother.

I'm pissed now. These boards are Restricted intelligence boards for a reason. Before we come to any conclusion even between ourselves someone always have to spill it out so that everyone knows. Yes it might be a good that we are upset with Clause, and now that everyone really is it at least looks genuine... Hrmpf...

It's been out in public since yesterday on the public forum! Lem and Phil made the suggestion it was Clause and I demanded clarification in public, and Phil posted that he would give us the info.
Simple as that really. I've said nothing on the public forums since, and nothing about it to anyone apart from thanking Phil for access to their forum and providing the threads in question, and asking him what Digg think of the whole convoluted mess, to which he replied (bottom up):
And there the matter rests, as of now.
