Does anyone have a relatively tight cluster of isles that we could use for alliance training?
3 to 10 isles in a tight cluster... Ones that individuals in the morkin alliances could colonise and could then use for training...
The premise...
The isles are called Morkin 1, 2, 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 etc...
All isles are bombed down to 5 points... A set of players is selected by random drawing... Selected players each colonise 1 isle... At a set date time all players may start to build... No outside aid... no interference... No suppliying from other isles within your account... We do this on trust but it would be useful to have at least one isle nearby that could act as a ref/spy...
Goal? First to take an opponent isle... First to take all isles... Last man standing... Or team game 2 v 2... 3 v 3... Goals set by admins... Date deadline... Points victory condition...
When victory conditions are met then the fleets are used to clear some isles, multi or other such target... Winner of games takes the referee isle and sits the next game. Ref isle by this time should be able to bomb the combat isles back to the stoneage and we start again...

Thats a cool plan, but finding someone willing enough to give away five isles won't be easy!

I think he means a pretend attack, I mean I hope he does.
Both me and eproxy have a tight cluster in O5. Check my isle list if your interested.

He means 5 different players take 5 different isles, all at about 5 pts. Then the first to build up a fleet and colo any of the other 4 isles is the winner. I think that is what the game is anyway..

Ì think it's a good idea, it gives us back the feeling of starting up new, but like williham, I think it's going to be hard to find someone willing to sacrifice isles like that. I have a tight cluster in O12, but I've worked hard to get that!

People used to do it on IKUK with new tsunami isles (ie. all plan on getting a 1-pointer on the same night). So it's best not to use tanked up isles like our ocean 5 ones bob

OK... I am going to put my money where my mouth is...
I am going to use my third cluster of 11 isles as the training range.
I have identified six isles which will be used for the exercises...
Exact terms of use and entry will be posted soon.
I am just levelling all isles up. All research will be done. Storehouse and all resource generators will be at full strength.
The exercise will take place in two parts...
Part one will involve clearance and colonisation... and Main House, Harbour, Laboratory, Watch Tower & Stone Wall will be knocked down to level 1 by the colonising teams as part of the excercise goals. Points will be lost for damage to resouce generators or storehouse.
Once colonised the colonisers will have to wait for all other entrants to colonise at which point a commecement date/time will be set.... I will send raiding fleets to all entry isles to ensure all players start with the same level of resources.
A target date and/or goal will be set...
When a winner is announced the cycle starts again with new players and a new live fire clearance exercise...
Any comments here before I start the new thread?

If there are armies/fleets on the isles they will have to be cleared? Not so sure that would be such a wise idea.

Perhaps if there is, you can open up a fleet steal window. I'm sure there will still be a few spears left to clear but would give some good practise in fleet stealing and hitting in a window If there are armies/fleets on the isles they will have to be cleared? Not so sure that would be such a wise idea.

That is a possibility and open for discussion... No isle has more than 200lws and 1500 spears... They were all raped by RobKohr1 just before I came to Morkin... Each isle could send 150lws to attack an 'enemy isle' giving a window of opportunity for clearance and fleet steal and coincidentally leaving all isles with a fleet of the same size to start with.
This could help speed up the rounds and minimize losses... it could mean we could get a round over in 4 to 6 weeks.
I was thinking of acting as if I was a real defending player and doing a virtual stoney drop when I see incoming fleets... ie drop 1 stoney to simulate 1000, drop 2 for 2000 etc...
