Catcher says what he did was not malicious, and he didn't see it as an issue, as all forums leak, ie some spies are everywhere anyway. He asked if he can come back, perhaps without access to the forum.

Obviously, should this happen again he'd be out forever, and perhaps we should set up penalties to avoid such issues in future.

On the other hand, one reason we don't know much about him is his lack of participation on the forum; this however seems to be partly a language issue. He has recently asked me about coordination with regards to the Orc isles. I think he's more a fighter than a talker. One option might be to assign him to a 'mentor' to integrate him better.

So, please think carefully about it, and cast your vote.

A simple apology would have probably persuaded me, but "All forums leak" to justify being a leak yourself does not sit well with me.

I've seen some of his contributions on the KoM in-game forums, and he does seem to be a good guy. But there's just something about his justification that does not instill a sense of repetence.

EDIT: I am also uncomfortable second-guessing a decision made by the Admin team.

I think this is entirely up to the KoM members/admins, personally it might be feasible to let him back in without forum access and see how he performs in the next war we have.

I'd rather have him on our side than have to fight him.

I dont see why not actually. We know all know what happen, and so he'll also know that we will be on the look out.

I've voted yes as full member again, but like Arminius, I think that penalties should be in place for leaking info in the future. I do think that it depends on what kind of info is being leaked though. I understand the worries about leaking something seemingly unimportant might lead to leaking something critical, but Catcher doesn't strike me as being stupid, so I think we can count on him not doing that.

I think this is something KoM should vote for since its their issue, so I won't vote. But...I'll just comment.

I think he should be let in with no forum access until he can prove himself in this upcoming war.

I understand the dangers of a forum leak, but I think in this situation we might have reacted too harshly. enlighten me if I'm totally off, but what is so bad about the info he shared with Pantheon? Isn't it to our benefit? Don't we want them to take initiative? And...I think the fact that we're more on pantheon's than DIGG's side is obvious to Pantheon already and to other alliances as well. So I fail to see what we're hiding....

The whole server knows something is about to happen.

I'm not saying catcher did the right thing. But I think in this case he can be forgiven given that he is a german speaker and the info leaked didn't really hurt us. If he had leaked the info to DIGG, then that would have been a more serious problem and my opinion of him wouldn't be that nice.

I know it's first and foremost a KoM issue, but not really only KoM. We're all one big family, and thus should take such decisions together.

let him back in. Its certainly a serious issue, but it honestly seems like Catcher didn't see it that way. Yes, thats a problem, but one that hopefully has been rectified based on our response to those actions. Give him another shot, he's aware of the consequences of doing this again, and we are pretty capable of tracking it down if it ever were to happen again

Yeh, I don't think it was his intention for it to get to Digg. Probably just showing some friends in pantheon that they would get our backing.

No forum access for a while won't really punish him all that much but it's probably for the best for the time being.

Forums do leak (even if not maliciously) but thats what we're trying to prevent so I'd say no.

I voted yes but in the end I think it should be a decision that KoM makes since they have him in their internals.

At present it's 7:3 in favour of him coming back one way or another. By tomorrow I'd like to tell him what we've decided; there seems to be a consensus that it's a KoM final-word matter. What do the KoM admins think?

I personally trust him. He's got the more aggressive German style of playing IK, but he's not a spy or traitor I'd say.

Last night the isle of the Scemo! who suicided on me last week became rulerless. I sent a colo out and went to bed. In the morning there were two colo attacks from Magz (failed) and one from Catcher (succeeded). I messaged him about it, and he immediately said the isle was mine. He even built up the watchtower by the time my colo fleet retook the isle. I'm inclined to see it more as a glitch than a deliberate attempt at espionage. If we tell him not to do it again (which we should tell all newcomers) I'm pretty sure he won't do it again.
