Possible Dispute regarding {12:4:5}

So i sent 2 colo ships to 12:4:5 (1 point isle), one when i found it, second when the first one failed. Second time was a success.

I also sent no catas with the colo ship.

Hey sir,

I just got a message from tazetim, saying that you and him had a coloing issue, looking to see if we can work it out.

It appears that he coloed over you on a 1 pt and then you coloed over him a few hours later. My understaning is he was asleep when the coloing happened so he wasn't able to build the main house up prior to your next effort. Which I would say is a boon for you. But that said what do you say to paying the cost of his colo ship back for his efforts. He is a small player, a 2 isle account, it takes a lot of effort for him to make a colo. How about going being gracious with our little friend?

I replied:

I over coloed him and he didnt over colo me. He didnt put the main house up in time and thats his fault, not mine. Although he did colo over someone else. I just sent a colo ship or two and 1 failed and 1 was a success and i put the mh up so no one else could take it. Although I do appreciate he is a small player, I will not be paying compensation as it was a 1 pointer isle in which i made no mistake in coloing.

I have done nothing wrong but colo a 1 pointer. Its not my fault the dude was sleeping and couldn't get main house up.

Offer to pay half a coloship as good will. If required forward it to me and I'll sort it.

Thats the rule I follow regarding 1 pointers... of course sometimes I do pay for half a ship but that is totally at my own discretion. If he doesn't want to pay it thats fine by me. Personally I'd be tempted to give him half a coloships worth of resources, primarily because of his size (especially in comparison to 'us') and secondarily is because they're being relatively nice about it. It's not my choice though
