As some of you are away Clause and Ruku are in the process or organising ops against certain members.
Here's my 2 cents, its a bad thing for the alliance. I know for a fact that they were planning to attack Kelksta when I expelled him. This looks immensely bad on my part. It also gives the Morkin group a bad name.
I'm also pretty sure that this goes against Morkin ethics (Corleth aside).
When was it allowed to go free range and attack anyone we felt like? We are at heart a peaceful alliance.
I'm good friends with Ruku and spoke to him earlier voicing my concerns over this matter.

hmmm, yes we never attack anyone out of the blue. There is always a 'good' reason (even if debatable) behind such an action, or at least we try to make a reason...
What did Kelksta do to deserve such attention?

I guess I'm confused...
Sent this morning after ruku let me know the guy was set for removal from KoM...
EDIT: I think you may be misunderstanding the degree to which "were planning to attack Kelksta", digital. Ruku is a bit irritated with the guy because apparently Kelksta took several islands off his account, whereas he was only supposed to take one. Ruku came to me, since we're neighbors. I sent that IGM after I got the full picture, and after Kelksta replied that he was indeed active (we suspected he wasn't, hence being on the removal list).
There were no "planned attacks", merely exploring if they would be prudent, and it was decided that they would not.

I was under the assumption that he was inactive. That and the previous actions (taking of isles) made me not worry about the attacks.
But we should perhaps set up a policy how we deal with people leaving us without good reason. People will be reluctant to act as spies if they know they lose their isles when leaving us. It would also require that people are more serious about wanting to join us.

I knew that there were issues with Kelksta but that was way in the past, also the timing was a bit off seeing as how he was just expelled from KoM.

If kelksta has gone inactive without any notification, I don't have major problems with other Morks taking his isles. However, it would be better if it was done in-house. Booting him from KoM will make him free game for all, and that could mean colony disputes. I hate colony disputes!

I did have a few spies I sent initially when ruku first mentioned it, and I was getting the full picture, and was not able to recall them once I got the full scope and we decided to leave him be. I haven't put them in the database, in case he ever gets access (I was forthcoming with him when he caught some and asked), but about half his isles in the o14/15/24 region are 4k+ spears, while half are 2k. 1-2 were very soft, and would fall quick prey - less than 1k spears. *NOTE: Yes, Mathemagicians, that equals 100% + 1-2 islands

See, many reason now ;D If only ruku had been more open with us on the matter it could have been dealt better and quicker.
