I hesitate to ask.

So WAR suddenly disbanded, after some of the leading players left for ELITE (not very humble, are they?). But I would still like to get an inside view on what happened. There was a war going on against GE, WAR had made fools of themselves attacking Pumpit, but how well it went was hard to say.

So, if anybody would care to give us the insider's view on events: What happened?

The whole thing with pumpit was a farce, the basic plan was rubbish and the guy organising it forgot to mention that no-one was sending catapults til after all the attacks had landed.
the attack on squall was different tho. fingal and sabby cleared large numbers of troops ( mainly stonethrowers ) and they managed to cat the isles defences down and hold them down with a little help until sabby could colonise the main isle.
if there was any fault in the attack it was that it started too early, before sabby was ready to colonise, if it had started a day later squall would have lost the isle before he even realised he was being attacked.

Squall main isle was colonised.
He now has 53 points or something and 3 isles.

Meanwhile I got a message from Cov about Elite group.

To a few select members. I've decided to leave [war] to create an elite alliance, those that receive this message are being invited and are considered to be elite players. Initially there are only a handfull of members on this list, but I found that war had too many noobs in it and was pissing me off BIG TIME!

please send an application if you wish to join, and note that this is an invite only alliance. Dont invite your friends!

Personally, I think GE and admins leaving were unrelated.
I wanted to stick around with War. Seemed fun to sort this stuff out. But I woke up tommorow morning and it was gone...

Still, I feel guilty when I look in there, but that is natural eh?
They all try to point fingers over who disbanded the alliance, lots of folk defend me, its touching!

I'd already mentioned/thrown about the idea of an alliance comprimised of the best (or at least highest ranked) minds of IKUK forming. I didn't quite expect it to happen so suddenly and this [Elite] isn't like the ocean based one that I envisaged.

As Cov said WAR was FULL of noobs, and like him it also really annoyed me. Almost all of the valuble ideas came from the minority of the 'good' members. It wouldn't surprise me if some current members of [FoM] get an invitation and possibly even take it up and leave.

As for attacking Pumpit like that... I stated multiple times on the forum that it would not work, I even had the stats to back it up. That method is good for spreading the cost over many members but in total costs many time more than just a single large fleet.

Many current members of [Elite] only believe in war as either self-defence or for profit. They realised that attacking -GE- was done for neither, they had few colonies to steal.

I wasnt sure what the whole enchilada was about if I am honest. Squall got 4 isles, and Grover did not like it. War was declared.

I thought it was rather a well thought war mind. Squall was defeated pretty quick, main isle was taken in a reasonable amount of time. Still, communication was bad, and probably always will be in such a large alliance....

I think I was 95% sure Halko did it. Big sneaky thing for him to do that was.

I "slipped" that name to General, I hope someone proves it, or Halko admits to it.....

I'm sure there is something wrong in using someone else's account to disband the number one alliance.... personally I hope WAR attacks Elite and sets them back even further.

Mind you some members would come running here and they obviously aren't all that loyal.

To be honest, you cant really tell who is and isnt loyal at the start. When the alliance gets a character, and get some achievements as Morkin has, then you get loyal members.

I dont see why this should upset the person who said it, so ill put it here. Its direct from someone in ELITE.

Interestingly, none of Elite disbanded WAR. It was done by Silentassassin (I think) by mistake after the old admins left war and passed the admin rights on to him.

I find it hard to believe anyone could disband an alliance by accident. You actually have to go through two steps to do it, I personally would go with Tom's theory of Halko doing it.

Added: The 'Disband alliance' check box is quite clearly labelled and I'm sure that any player would know what it refers to.

Some Facts:

Pumpit attacked me around 3 hours of me joining the game. I assured him i was active and there was peace for a few weeks. Before i could build troops i was attacked repeatedly by Pumpit. WAR decided to declare war on pumpit. Silentassasin (cough, arrogant Bastardo!, cough) decided to plan the war as head admiral by sending 1lw at a time. Needless to say.. it failed.
Silentassasin was then promoted i believe to admin and WAR disbanded shortly after. I had left by then, howver and was busy applying to morkin family.
