Disturbed has (big surprise) been declared a multi. Personally, I'm happy. I'll be picking off a couple of his easy isles, considering DIGG hasn't sent anything serious at me.

I know that DIGG might not have sent anything serious against a lot of people, yet. But they have declared that they will not put the war on a halt because of this issue, and as much as I hate multis, I would hate to lose fleets against the "wrong" enemy at this point. DIGG will get around to attacking you Cesium, they've done so with me

I had a few spied in the o14/15 region, out of sheer curiosity.

400 LWS, 4k spears was the norm. Then again, it was only 3-4 in that region, if I'm not mistaken.

The biggest disadvantage Liam has is his geography - he's spread all over the place, and will have trouble with stoner-drops. And given that he was selling cats and stoners to finance his purchase of accounts, his numbers in those regards should, presumably, not be impressive either.

AMC SPECIAL REPORT: THE STORY OF Disturbed!!!
Who can say why a 'multi' does it? Sure, the promise of additional resources leading to a larger and faster built army is the material cause. But the game is free to play for everyone. If you find yourself on the wrong end of a war, you can always rebuild. The only thing "lost" is time, but if you enjoyed the game during that time, is that really a loss? Regardless, the desire for power is strong in many, leading some to ignore the rules. This is the story of how one of those people, having climbed to the top of the game, was found out.

Ocean 22. Borderland of the DIGG-belt and the Old Oceans. On October 28th, a fleet approaches the island of a newer player. It sweeps in, stealing around 1200 gold and 800 stone before making the return trip home. Just a few miles away, a colonization fleet lumbers along, striking out and successfully taking over a new island. When the pillaging fleet returns to harbor, it finds that a new owner is in charge. The fleet has been stolen. Or has it? Normal gameplay would indicate that three players were involved. Further investigation would show that there were only two.

On October 28th, administrators of [Angel] noticed that one of their members, MarbleMadness, had an island taken by Disturbed. Questioning MarbleMadness, he revealed that he had attacked Disturbed, showing the attack report. Shortly after, the new one-island player (identity withheld for his protection) sent a message to the [Angel] administrators complaining of the attack. Shockingly, the attack report he sent showed the exact same fleet that MarbleMadness claimed to have sent against Disturbed.

After presenting this evidence to the AMC, further information was revealed. MarbleMadness claimed that Disturbed had cleared his island previous to it being colonized. However, he never produced those attack reports. Later on, Disturbed sent attack reports of the clearing and colonization fleets to Okeanos, which were forwarded to the AMC. The reports showed that the fleet used by MarbleMadness had been completely destroyed. AMC members were not so trusting. Spies sent to the island revealed that the fleet was alive and well, with the same 431 LWS sitting in harbor and over 2,000 spearfighters patroling the beaches.

These attacks could not be the result of a merger, as both MarbleMadness and Disturbed claimed it was an attack. It could not be a real attack, as spy reports confirmed that the fleet was saved and the attack reports forged. Also, spy reports confirmed that MarbleMadness had a Level 20 Watchtower on his island. The one-island player he attacked was only about a three hour round-trip away, meaning Disturbed's colonization fleet was visible long before the fleet was sent out. The final piece of evidence fell into place thanks to the external forums of [Angel] and [.|D:.]. Both accounts had registered with their respective alliances. A screenshot of the [Angel] forums with the IP address for MarbleMadness was sent to [.|D:.] administrators, which provided their own screenshot for Disturbed. The IP addresses were an exact match. With this last bit of evidence, the AMC decided on holding a vote that weekend, giving Disturbed several days to defend himself and address the accusations. No reply was forthcoming. As such, the vote was begun. All but one representative voted that Disturbed was a multi, with the lone dessenter voting that the situation was a "Grey Zone". Alliances that were not involved in the [DIGG]-[Pantheon] war prepared for the upcoming conflict against the Rank #1 player.

The outcome, if not the proceeding, of this conflict is now under some confusion. Disturbed now claims that he has sold the account. The various alliances are split as to how to properly carry out their verdict, as there can be no way to verify the sale. Some still call for the complete destruction and deletion of the account. Others think that simply reducing the size of the account will be enough.

If anything, this situation is a case study for smaller players that think they can't really do much being so far behind the larger players. They are a vital part of the server, ensuring the continuation of the game. When contacted for a comment, the one-island player that helped start the process said "It's funny looking back at it because shortly after MarbleMadness...attacked me I noticed that within 12 hours Disturbed had taken almost all of MarbleMadness' isles. I actually sent Disturbed an IGM thank you note for his efforts." The Gazette wonders if Disturbed finds it funny now.

With all the accounts he's purchased in the past, it seems pretty stupid of him that he'd actually be a multi as well. Personally I think this is just more a case of him "multi'ing" in order to be merging accounts than anything else. But oh well, the groupthink has already started, and won't stop anytime soon
