According to ruku it was discussed that people who wanted to sit the war out join Angel, he would like to know who is interested in this.

This is grossly disappointing.

This is not a "I'm going to sit this one out, join you in the next one" situation. Those who embark are doing so on a one-way trip.

If people are going to join a "neutral" alliance to "sit this one out", rest assured, there will in all likelihood be no Morkin tag to return to, and you will find the continued gameplay isolated, without your dearest friends at your side, and living with the guilt that you watched them get slaughtered. Your gameplay enjoyment will be greatly diminished on a server wherein DIGG owns >50% of the islands in every ocean.

So do you join the last stand of Morkin and die a noble death with your mates, or do you "sit it out" and die a slow, lonely death?

The answer to me is obvious, and the fact that others would even entertain the question is deeply disheartening.

Don't forget that at the present time it was something like 14:11 or so in favour of war, which is by far not a conclusive result.

I'll clarify this for everyone this is about the account that Ruku controls not my own. I was asked to post this, it was not in reference to my own account. If I wasn't in it for the long haul I would have given my admin position up long ago and left.

If DIGG doesn't get you now, they'll get you later. The only difference is that later, you'll die in another alliance...alone... because lack of unity here may be our downfall. There is no escaping this time. And if you do escape, you'll probably be playing alone after that because everyone else died killing DIGG so that others can play.

But it is a personal choice, one that I must respect.

I don't think its such a bad idea that people who for whatever reason aren't in a position to fight sit this out, to use ruku as an example, I'd much rather he was able to feed us stonies and resources/cats or whatever he can spare than see him having to fight for every isle he's got and ultimately end up with us catting them so digg don't prosper from them. if he sits out for 2 weeks he could probably produce and supply us in excess of 30,000 stonies and still build lws/spears or whatever to help strengthen his account, 4 weeks is 60,000 stonies or he could go into mass spear production and come into the war in 2 weeks with 30,000 more spears wich digg would have to clear to take his isles.
Its not like this war is going to be over in a few days time.

That is what I was hoping people would see. I cant even cat down my own isles, I have little over 100 cats on the account, and just sent 285 out for support yesterday.

From the looks of the voting, it looks like we wont be going to war anyway. But if we do, I suppose I can do as much damage as possible to o14 people before I get taken out

I made the Angel suggestion; my reasoning is that ruku et al. could do more for us in a covert support role than in a direct military one.

They can also join the war later if it should prove useful/appropriate/fun.

Regardless, there is no value in gifting Digg useful isles; even inactivity would be better.

I totally agree with Clause and the others about "sitting this out" as a bad move in general.

HOWEVER, it will give some battered players in bad spots on the map the change to rebuild a liitle and supply resources. So its doable. But move quick.

No theres no point in dragging this out, I'll suicide on a target and then leave it at that. I cant be bothered with all the crap surrounding IK at the moment, nor the fact that 45% of voters are been forced into war.

The reason I say forced, is because we dont want to leave Morkins side and it is unfair on those who are faithful, but who are unable to do anything at the moment.

Your move would let you build up to come into the war in a better position. You can support us with stonies and the like. But don't give up. We don't need our own members lowering morale.
