Clause, I'll help you pay half of the colo ship since you're running that KoM free colo contest.

I would offer to pay too, since I pushed you to offer it. I'm not sure they are going to accept this token offer, though. But if they do, I'm also willing to bear the cost. But after this maybe it's about time we create a dedicated "colony dispute" subsection on this forum, and then any members who don't like those kind of events can avoid them by simply not reading that section?

I was awaiting Lem's response, so I could make the offer.
I rec'd this...
I also rec'd the following tip this morning...
So I suppose I'll wait until the next DIGG person comes along and demands 500k gold to make the 17.5k "goodwill gesture" offer, since Lemonion appears to realize why the situation warranted dropping stoners.
There is considerable "personal axe to grind" forces at work here - Werddrew has been resentful and spiteful ever since I told him to STFU for doing nothing but criticizing others rather than making contributions.

I have a little story that presents itself as a good example to follow in this situation. about 2 weeks ago Yaaaaaaaahhh[suicide] attacked GenAdmission. GenAdmission returned fire and cleared Yaaaaaahhh's main and made several attempts on it. after a couple days of failure, Cervix[DIGG] took the island and dropped a couple thousand stoneys in front of Gen's next colo ship. It took a week of negotiation just to get back the island but GenA will not recieve any comp for the stoney drop losses. This was also a 800+ island(maybe 1000). Meatpopsicle handled the negotiation. I suggest you mention this dispute to DIGG since it is almost identical in nature. They do this sort of thing to everyone else and don't think anything of it but as soon as it happens to them, their whole world comes crashing down. Whatever comp they force on clause will have to be paid to GenA or I will personally extract a pound of flesh from Cervix. We negotiated in good faith and took losses and accepted those losses. DIGG must do the same or I will start ramping up my demands during my negotiations.

Well as long as you have two people on your side in DIGG, thats a good start in getting this whole sorry state of affairs sorted.
As long as those two post up all the correct facts then everybody should see that your actions were justified.

Apparently, Werddrew started a poll within DIGG to "actively extract compensation (i.e. taking isles)", and it's currently coming in around 40%.
Interesting, since Werddrew has never message me himself, asking for compensation...
The reason Lemonion is rather annoyed with Werd is that he has omitted crucial details, such as Werd's failure to provide any sort of response to IGM's or cell text's to clarify the disposition of his fleet, his intentions, or commit to returning the isle if he took it back (he did send one saying "of course you'll get it back", but it was sent several hours AFTER his fleet was kampf'd - no doubt just an attempt to cover his Culo! post facto).

Getting the impressions that this Werddrew is a complete tool.
Sick of these kind of idiots out to ruin our fun.

ooo! Ooo! Let's start our own poll!? I vote 'actively extract all his isles.' I'm sure we could get 80%+ for that one!

After Lemonion concluded that Werddrew omitted facts, cherrypicked the case he presented to DIGG, and made a lazy blunder, I am being contacted by Rapax (another Diplomat).
I'm wondering how many Diplomats are going to contact me, and how many times I am going to have to recount the course of events...

I'm wondering how many Diplomats are going to contact me, and how many times I am going to have to recount the course of events... Yes, I know that situation. When we went hunting for GFY, and he got booted from Orc only to run to DIGG, I had a very busy weekend answering a dozen (I'm not excagerating (sp?), I counted 12 individual DIGG players contacting me about the violent attacks on that poor little innocent DIGG member, then I stopped counting.) different messages and warnings about me attacking a DIGG member without provocation. Taking down GFY was the easy part, but the sh*t he stirred was a real big annoyance. ...not to mention the 7000 stoners that DIGG sent to one of his isles to help him against my attacks... (but when we got it sorted our the DIGG leaders did offer to clear the latest 5000 stoners themselves.) Still, the internal communications in DIGG may be a little out of whack much of the time. Too many people wanting do be decisionmakers.
