I'm ignoring a peaceful resolution as IMO we would be naive to believe it could/will happen.
Pantheon has spent 2-3 months saying 'no war, lets discuss' splitting and DIGG have always seen it as 'Split or else'
Lemonion is the only DIGGer I believe was actually serious about it and he has left as he cannot acheive it.
Having read our forums with interest around possible war, I note some members feel that they are not ready.
I'm curious as to when people feel they would be ready to take the fight to DIGG?
I also want to know if you think DIGG would call in allies to try to finish us off quick?

Been ready whenever everyone else (or clear majority, or select minority of a handful of my closest mates) decides they are. You know my position and situation on the whole matter very well. 2. In a post-Pantheon scenario, I don't think they would. Not because of a sense of honor about a 1-on-1, but rather a lack of necessity. They wouldn't need to even call in half their alliance, let alone others. And they would want all our isles for themselves. Just my personal opinions, since you've solicited them.

Clause,
I know what your stand point is from the other mails you have posted and TBH I was more aiming this at people who feel that their military isn't up to it.
Soliciting your opinions are what I'm after, as it allows us all to better understand what our constraints are.

Personally, being where I am (o23/33/32/24) I am more or less surrounded by [digg], so I would never be at a point where I could win the war of attrition BUT in a post pantheon world I feel I would be even further outnumbered, so its a case of jump or be pushed. Again, due to my location I have given this some thought.. I think that[pain] are itching to prove their worth to [digg] and fear that [. |D:.] could be sucked up into the frey... our entering would give any alliance wanting to prove loyalty to [digg] a good excuse to join...

Pantheon has spent 2-3 months saying 'no war, lets discuss' splitting and DIGG have always seen it as 'Split or else' How could they have viewed it any other way? I'm not pro Digg, and want to see them split just like everyone else. We all have the same objective. Pantheon backed Digg in a corner when they merged, THAT was the flaw. We are discussing joining them in doing the exact same thing. As you said, it didn't work for 2-3 months, why should it work now? Pantheon merging like they did and then asking Digg to split was no more a "peaceful" attempt than us going to war. If WE had of merged together, then "asked" Digg to talk of a split, how do you think it would be portrayed? Pantheon was even worse, as they were all Enemies of Digg during WW1, and were not ever considered a single alliance by anyone on the server (as we are). Regarding allies, its been said that E|M will never join against Digg, and at most may remain neutral. Pain has already confirmed they will join Digg whenever asked. Empire will support Pain if they do in fact join Digg. D|D will likely follow E|M (best case), or Pain (worst case). As for me being ready, same as POSE, never will be in my waters, so its all good.

In other threads the suggestion that we try to diplomatically try to get DIGG to split. does anyone have a way we can propose them splitting that would not be a 'split or else' statement.
My initial post was to draw people on when they think the latest point that DIGG can be seriously challenged is.
Is it after this war when they will have been weakened by Pantheon? is it in 3 months when we have had timie to rebuild ( but they will also have this and due to their base they will rebuild quicker than we can.)
what are peoples thoughts around the future if DIGG is not reduced/split?
My group of isle are next door neighbours with Phil299 so I will be on the front line if this goes hot.

what are peoples thoughts around the future if DIGG is not reduced/split? If DIGG does not reduce/split, we will need to avoid any conflcits with anyone, and arm ourselves to the teeth. Make our islands so impregnable that a war with us would be so grossly unprofitable for DIGG that they would not bother with it. Essentially, we would need to go "dormant" for an extended period of time. Deprive DIGG of any excuse to attack us by essentially cowing to their gameplay, and remain hopeful that something will happen to get them to reduce/split naturally. Either internal discord (this has already reached peak levels and passed some weeks ago), or boredom from a lack of wars (this is one viable possibility - perhaps the only) which will cause their players to atrophy and leave the server.

Message from phil: One problem seems to be that the admins can't just make decisions. Ironic, given what happened here yesterday

Then Digg may remain under fire.
I should clear my own points up I think -
It's not that I'm against war with Digg.. at all. I just want certainty that if we do this, we're going to be organized like the Fottuto! special forces and I'd love to see a report of exactly how active Pantheons membership is in this war. Right now it seems like we'd be jumping into something with only 50 of pantheonss 400+ members actually fighting. The odds are already against us, but that just makes it worse if Pantheon can't even muster up half their membership to fight in this battle.
Regardless of anything, if the vote is to fight, even as outnumbered as I am, my fleets are Morkins.

At least judging by Dhaarans statements and the results of a poll they're holding. It's likely D|D will follow suit which will tear their 3 way pact. Either PAIN will continue to fight with DIGG or they will withdraw due to their sister alliance and other pactmate being on the opposing side. Either way, I don't see PAIN as much of a threat.
