Not sure public forums is the way to go on this. Its never a place to get anything worthwhile done. Pantheon tried it for the past 3 months, and look what was accomplished. I was more thinking some backdoor diplomacy (err...private anyways, I think backdoor has another meaning here ). Perhaps setup a place on our forums, invite some people. Get them talking. Bring it public AFTER we have something organized. Let our diplomatic minds work the alliances over, bring them to our point of view, before forcing them to make public declarations one way or another. Many likely wouldn't want to make a public stand right now. These are the ones we need to get working on, behind the scenes, but right now, not in a few days or weeks.

We should stress that our aim is not to hit Digg, but to make them split. As soon as they do so we would cease hostilities.
With this proposition we could perhaps approach the other top-10 alliances, as they must also feel marginalised by 'the Peace of Digg'.

The problem I see is that no one likes to be given an ultimatum. If we tell DIGG to split or else, they're probably not going to split just for the sake of their pride. What if someone told the Morkin groups to drop our pacts with each other or else? We'd tell them to shove it.

I was thinking about the idea that we merge - but into two alliances instead of one. The first alliance can be those who want to attack Digg straight away and the second could be for people who are still sitting on the fence or would like to delay attacks.

Although a good idea eproxy thats going to make us a lot weaker, but if thats what has to be done then so be it. For once I would like a decision to be made quickly however - time is of the essence on this one
