Say lord A has 2500 riders, and lord B has 2499 warriors. Lord B is UC and lord A is scared. You want to swap their armies, so the more courageous lord would have the riders. It can be done, but you'd have to do 4999 transfers. Somewhat of a bother.
So I suggest this: If army capacity is exceeded in the transfer, automatically transfer to giving army the excess number of soldiers of the receiving army, for example:
Lord A transfers 2000 warriors to lord B, who commands 500 riders and 1500 warriors. Lord B would now have 4000 soldiers, so 1500 would have to be transferred back. A would receive 500 riders and 1000 warriors. (Riders first, because a) warriors were transferred, and b) because lord B has less riders then warriors).
This would even enable two full armies of 2500 soldiers to exchange troops that was so far (rather illogically) impossible.

Matija, some of us veterans do it the easy way: Find a empty stronghold and do the transaction there: Lord B creates a garrison and transfers the remaining 2449 warriors to the keep, and then transfers the 2500 riders from Lord A. Then Lord A transfers 2499 warriors from the garrison, and you swap has been done in 4 easy moves. I know what you will say, that strongholds are not always around. Well, with 4999 soldiers and two lords at your disposal, you should be able to conquer one

I usally do it with the help of garrison. I no longer remember the exact case that brought up the idea, but surely, it is easy to find situations when that would be useful. Say you're defending a keep or citadel and you bring reinforcements of a race different to the garrison.
