Hi all, I think I gave quite a comprehensive history in my original application but if any of you have further questions then feel free to post them here or PM me directly.
I have read my application thread and a few others, and can see that some of you have concerns about my previous form and the direction I am taking with my first collo so far etc,
Firstly I would like to go some way to wards explaining my previous incarnation, I had built up an account over a long period on the basis of staying within my limits but on the promise of mutual annihilation if interfered with.
I found that as long as my goals were reasonable and my attitude was the same that I could achieve my short term targets without upsetting too many other people, but this IS a wargame and as such choices have to be made…
I did cross swords with several of you at times and yes I agree that my PM's were to the point and offered no real benefit to anyone other than me/my alliance, I do contend however that I always sought to offer terms of peace (all be it at the detriment of your isles/fleets) to try to attain my objective(s) and in many cases only traded cross words, I never intentionally ruined anybody’s game without them attacking me "full pelt". If I did im sorry.
In my latter days on IK.UK I became increasingly 'miffed' at the way several players were allowed to cheat and confubble their way to 'greatness' and made a concerted effort to put myself into a position where I could lend a hand in their demise (the idea dwindled as their power grew) I had a strong group of friends who felt the same but they sold accounts/ gave up so I decided to try to go it alone..
To do this I needed to strengthen my standing in what I considered to be my home ocean and that in many cases meant I needed to take any profitable action I could to secure all new isles in and around 5:44:** .. but even with all the effort I had put in I could not compete with PHP’s running 24/7 nor 500 accounts providing funding to my targets so I sold up too, hoping for a fresh start here.
My attacks were not personal, nor were they aimed at small players. In fact much larger players get exactly the same ultimatums.
No hard feeling here, and I do understand your worries about my previous form but rest assured I have no bee in my bonnet, and am happy to simply grow.
My thinking behind moving to o23 is that o1 is overrun, its crowded with multies who will no doubt want my isles... moving out to o23 has a few drawbacks at this stage (ablity to transport troops/ goods) but the benefits will far out weigh those in time, as I feel sure that as im in an alli based in o1, any attackers will simply lose isles and fleets on the 30hr round trip to o23, to my comrades in arms.
