People are getting very worried about courage (or the lack of).
I want to keep the seeking as it is now, but Towers still operate in the old way. How about this:
A very small chance of getting courage (but also thorns) at a tower, rather than guidance?
Or: get (eg) 1000 gold pieces, take it to your nearest tower, and receive a courage charm by return post?

If you recall, I was from the very start against bad events prevailing, if they are randomly redestributed at a start of each game, henges being the very example. So I agree with Chris, increase BC probability in henges so that the chances of bad and good events are at least even. You could also increase BC chance at ruins.
And, since it is so difficult to remember what sites were already searched, how about a message saying something like: There are obvious signs someone has already searched this site?
Or, more atmospheric: Exposed white faces of the stones indicate that this ruin has recently been searched. Blackened remains of a sacrifical fire indicate that a dark ritual has recently been performed at this henge. Broken stalctites and remains of a fire show that someone has recently weathered in this cavern. Etc.

YES! Matija has learned the Way of the Entangling Word!!! ;D The fences of Hyperion mark the day where limestone seeps through the crevices of Aphrodite. Hark, lo and stay tuned, be merry with figs til the Foul Lady sings, and to Kor with the rest!

I'd like you to leave towers as sources of information only please.
Maybe have some courage at citadels and keeps?

How about re-seeding liths, ruins and &c every turn, so that each feature still only deliver a max of one goodie/baddie every turn, but players with a great deal of effort can get there in the end?

I think for reseeding to work, I would suggest reseeding them randomly during the night. ie: scan all the empty liths in the map at have a 30% chave of a reseed.

I think for reseeding to work, I would suggest reseeding them randomly during the night. ie: scan all the empty liths in the map at have a 30% chave of a reseed. Too much work. Simply re-seed every single feature at the start of every turn. Modified: Even with a complete re-seed of liths, ruins &c at the start of every turn, the chance of finding anything usefull (BoC) is rather small. Given how many searches even a handful of non-UC lords must do to become UC, even in a lith-heavy area it can take a long time.
