I suppose this has probably been mentioned before, but I can't find where as I am a Johnny-come-lately.
When the screens render, you can sometimes see through mountain ranges.
For example if there is an army on the horizon, you can see it being drawn before the mountains which are nearer obscure it.
Anyway to stop this?
Maybe you could draw everything in white ink and then change the ink colour, Spectrum BASIC for you ;D
Actually I don't suppose that would work??
It's not a massive issue, usually the screens load so quick you can't tell but sometimes you can see it. Not sure if this is my PC, browser, internet connection or whatever.
Sorry if I'm opening a can of worms here.......

with the html as it is at the moment the only way that i can think of to do it (no idea if this is doable) is to set a visiable flag off for all images, and then at the end of the page, run some JS that switches them all on. But that does not guarantee that the gfx will have downloaded by then.
The best way is to create a single gfx server-side using php's GD library. Iggy has already done a lot of the work on this and sent me the code, but as ever it's a matter of time (or lack of it)
