I think the use of any such button must be accompanied by an e-mail to the player whose turn has been missed. Otherwise it could be used for cheating when a player is on holiday, for example.

This could also be tied in with the status string I suggest before... add a default list of options, "On Holiday" etc... and then this could be checked.
So anyone awol without setting OnHoliday - is really awol and should be punished with sharp pointy sticks - when found.

Hmm, what default options? 'On holiday', 'computer broken', 'wife nagging me to spend more time with her', 'overworked', 'new relationship', 'just lazy', 'losing and trying to ignore the fact', any other suggestions?
