First, let me say.. it's a great game and an amazing conversion. I am having a good deal of fun.
Here are one or two quibbles I have.
1. Displaying scenes from the horizon to the player in stages, allows the players to have an unaturally long view, and makes it difficult for other plays to conceal themselves in terrain. Can we not reverse it, so that the closest objects are viewed first and will obscure what is behind them?
2. Displaying armies in front of mountains, keeps or citadels or villages instead of hiding them, makes it very difficult to arrange any kind of ambush or conceal oneself within walls, forest or mountain. I think that armies within dense terrain or structures should be invisible from a distance.
Am I being petty?

This is a definite wish list item, but can there be some kind of AI? I for one would love to play cooperatively against one powerful opponent. I also like the idea of non aligned leaders having their own agendas.

As Chris says, nothing is petty and everything is up for discussion. Regarding the first point - the screen is drawn back to front otherwise the terrain that is "farther away" would overwrite the terrain that is closest. But once the gfx generation is moved server-side, then this will be a non-issue. Regarding the army gfx being displayed outside of keeps etc, this is a deliberate design decision. Personally I think that this is one of the few areas that DDR is better than LoM. 2500 men hiding in hills right next to you and you can't see anything. Your scouts must be fairly lousy! Especially as the enemy lords are visible!!! I much prefer being able to see armies at a distance. Ambushes should still be possible by using forest and mountains, and when the first issue is resolved (gfx generation), players won't be able to see armies being drawn on slow connections, nor look at the html source for that matter. Hopefully this will address the ambush concern to some extent. Hope this clarifies my thinking! And thank you for the kind comments. Glad you're enjoying playing MU
