I just lost my first game and was thrown by the fact I had actually lost!
I was waiting for a "next turn" email and then found the header in the ongoing games thread had changed...
Wouldn't it be better to get a "game over" email... and also to explain why... maybe a end game roundup.
I wanted to go back into the game and look at my final position.

Yes, an end-of-game email is a good idea. Will see to it.
You can't really look at your end game position as when a game ends, all lord records except the kings are deleted. This was done some time back do remove the vast amounts of records from completed games that were clogging up the database.
One feature that will be added in future is a log of all your actions. This will allow positions to be reconstructed using a small app that someone will build (me possibly, though Iggy might fancy it as it's a tool rather than a true app. Hint, hint!)

Then whwn you get the new email, you get at least a chance to look at it. It's kinda a compromise.

Send me the log structure and it'll be done. Sooner or later, anyway. ;D

Thanks Iggy When I get around to designing the logging facility, I'll make sure that you are involved in the file format specification. XML possibly - are you familiar with that?

If you don't like XML, don't worry, I'll go with any format you care to implement I'm not an XML zealot, though I do like it a lot for the work that I do. Makes life a lot easier sometimes (note, sometimes)

We will think of something. Any text format should be OK.
