I'm curious about something. In one game my queen can longer regain Fey troops because she has only 25 warriors left and there are no more Fey lords/troops to get. Since I don't have the required 200 troops to start gaining extra troops, is there any thoughts to this? It really sucks being stuck just trying to avoid capture.

Where did you get the "200 extra troops" from? Do you mean 50 at a citadel?
If you only have 25 left, and no fey citadels, you are fated to slink into the dark woods and wither away... :/

So it is 50? ugh... 25 short... I take it this would be a stupid suggestion... What about if your Lord was in a location such as a citadel or keep, could he/she be able to regenerate lost troops at a small amount?

Actually, strictly speaking, you only need 1 troop to regenerate at a citadel. But to garrison a citadel takes a minimum of 50 men. If the citadel drops below 50 men through combat, this does not matter. Once the garrison falls to 0 men, it is deleted and stops generating reinforcements.

So are you saying that if I were to conquer a citadel with my other lords and then garrisoned it with my 25 fey warriors it would start to produce more troops each turn?

No, as you need 50 to garrison any stronghold.

Right... right... duh... Had one of those rare blonde moments. JY, I suggest you fix that.

There's no known bug fix for that, sorry. ;D

So it is a bad idea then to allow a leader to recover troops up to 50 then have the game stop regenerating his troops? Hmm... That could be exploited. Is it possible to combine all the say, Fey troops to see if the total it <50 and if it is could you regenerate troops to one particular lord (like my queen in this example)?
Remember, I'm not a programmer so bear with me.

Err.. not quite clear what you mean.
If you have other fey lords with troops, transfer the troops to 1 lord (eg your queen) until they have >= 50 troops. Then you can use those 50 men to garrison a citadel (you may need to disband the citadel's garrison first if it is of another race).
Then the citadel will regenerate.
Is that what you meant?

Nope.
What I mean is. If out of all my fey lords my total troops is less than 50 then I cannot regenerate more troops because I need a minimum of 50 for citadels.
Could there be a way in such an instance, that the lord could regenerate a small amount of troops perhaps at a village or something just until the total troops becomes equal or greater than 50?

I think that "Surrender" button will solve this kind of problems! ;D

Andrea, I get it now. Sorry for my glacier like thought process. Personally I view the situation as your opponent having basically rendered your fey lords impotent. If you were to regain troops, would that be fair on him/her? Just thinking out loud btw, not having a go at you! Maybe a compromise would be that a King/Queen (but not other lords/ladies) could create a garrison as long as they had at least one warrior or rider - the system would take all their troops (eg between 1 and 49) to stop them going off and populating another citadel immediately.

Yes, it does provide an incentive for that king/queen to actually play on rather than hiding out in the mountains of ithril or corelay Will look into it - the garrison code is working very nicely, so I don;t want to introduce any bugs into it, but if it's easy I'll do it

Thank you JY. I hope everyone else thinks this is a decent idea and not something that is 'broken'
