We've actually touched on this in one of the M/MU General threads, but I thought I'd open it where it belongs.
I think that while the 0.1g battle reports make the figures easier to note and calculate, they are not very readable and sometimes it's hard to spot what actually happened.
So, looking at the longer term, here are my thoughts on possible improvements:
Create a top-level readable battle summary, e.g.:
---
Lord Blood vs Valethor the Betrayer. The "Classic" (pre 0.1g) battle report should be fine in one vs one battles,
---
Lord Blood vs 2 or more enemies.
"Lord Blood fought 3 enemies at the Keep of Blood. Lord Blood slew 20 riders and 15 warriors. His riders slew 100 riders and 112 warriors. His warriors slew 80 riders and 75 warriors. Lord Blood lost 1003 riders and 675 warriors."
---
Lord Blood and 11 allies against 7 enemies.
"12 allies fought 7 enemies at the Keep of Blood. The allied lords slew 110 riders and 130 warriors. Allied riders slew 6,235 riders and 9,050 warriors. Allied warriors slew 5,099 riders and 8,117 warriors. The allies lost 4,555 riders and 5,762 warriors.
Of the enemies, Lek the Deserter and ul-Artath the Watchful were slain. Of the allies, Morkin the Free fell in battle."
(The last paragraph would only be produced if there were any casualties amongst the lords, of course.)
Using this type of top-level report with drill-down options to 0.1g style detailed breakdowns of figures would make things much easier to assimilate at a quick glance, while still making the nitty-gritty details available if required.
Of course, the suggestion takes no account of how difficult it would be to implement it. ;D
