I've been thinking, this might not be so tricky for someone to knock up a simple bit of code to give some idea as to the outcome of a battle.
Of course we don't know how combat works exactly, but the results from our previous battle were about what I'd expect and we have enough data to come up with quite an accurate predictor.
Anyone fancy having a stab at it? If I had time I would...........
The main problem is firing orders, we could use the defaults of course, we don't know if the enemy has changed them but still.

We (well, Matija, or someone else good at math) can even predict/guess enemy's strategy from a results of a first tick!
