I remember reading that you plan on having herds of horses move. This got me thinking.
I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I often come across a herd of horses with a Lord who doesn't require them. Occasionally a Lord with a few warriors will be tagging along a few hours/days behind and will want to pick them up. I can waste hours of movement and minutes of time just wandering around the rough area looking in every direction until I find them. Particularly if I've slept/had my tea/been for a c.rap since my last go.
Is it possible to put a similar alert for horses as for allies/enemies in the message window if you're within a square of a herd of horses.
(Apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I couldn't find it under suggestions.)

Third... never mind! ;D I agree, both with roving herds and the alert should one be near such a herd at any given time.

Your wish is my command (well, this time anyway!). Been meaning to add this to the "scouting" code for ages, so will do so.

Seeing as people are in favour of this idea. How about also adding the ability to detect horses in the square the Lord is currently standing. I'm also liable to forget if I ended a turn in the same square as a herd.
I know this won't be as effective if horses move. Unless horses are able to move into an occupied square, in which case this will be a great feature.
I also know I should be using the journal more for this kind of thing, but I think I would use that more for broad strategy notes than trivia.
