Hiya

BaldHug of [Dinos] is being attacked by members of [Solstice]. He doesn't stand a chance, but does anyone know of any hostilities? BaldHug would hardly have attacked anyone and right now he is just taking a beating...

Sarah,

I just read your posting on the unofficial forum, and just as an comment to that, perhaps you can explain why members of your alliance are attacking my friend Baldhug. He says he has no idea why, but personally I would suggest your members find some players of their own size to attack, if they crave action.

Or am I missing something about those attacks?

Hiya, I have no interest in your friends isles, although I did ask everyone in my tile if i could have that isle when it spawned, and I actually added this to my profile BEFORE it was even there.

If your friend had checked his new neighbours (as I think is common sense when going for an ilse?) he would have seen this!

I did not attempt to take/claim it, as I wanted to give him a chance and thought it unjust to take the isle.

If my intentions were to take the isle I would have done so.

I simply aided a freind when asked, and as you should be able to tell from any conversations I have had with your friend I wish him no harm myself. I had infact offered compensation for my actions, that I was willing to send to his other isle as a sorry.....

Although I would like to see the game played differintly I would be doing myself no service if I flew the flag of fairness alone, and this is why I have posted the forum several times about the subject(see new ideas).


What would you suggest I do? and what was the point of your PM( that was not an agressive question)

I'm trying to figure out what's going on, that's all. Baldhug makes no mention of messages or warnings, but he states quite clearly that he had done nothing to warrant those attacks.

I just make note of a smaller player getting attacked by a much larger group, while you are suggesting 'fair play' in public. You will never get everyone to agree to that, so you have only your own standards to guide you. Either you play fair by nature, or you don't, that's my opinion. Doing something you know is unfair 'because everybody else is doing it' doesn't sound right to me.

I have tried to get details from Baldhug, but he hasn't replied, which is why I asked you. I wasn't even aware that you were involved, but I would like to hear the story from the beginning.

I totally see your point(s).

The story from the beginning as far as I am concearned is I had asked anyone I thought may be interested in 5:44:11 if I could colo the isles whe it appeared, I put this on my settings page so everyone else could see.

It appeared so I built a colo ship but Baldhug took it, I thought fine and hust left it there(even though people I had asked if I could have it seemed a littel confused)

That was a few weeks ago..... then a player from my alliace who wants to gain a few isles in another ocean so chose ocean 5, saw the isle and sent coloships, he asked that I spy just before his coloships landed, I did this as It actually made no difference at the time.

After seeing the ESP he askied that i send a small fleet to tske down the wall, I did this.

I wwas contacted by Balhug and told him that it was ineviatable that the damage i caused was going to occure as ships were already en route, and that I did it as a favour, but that I would compensate him for any loss..

He said somthing about him not being a multie??? I didnt understand that so I left it.

Ah, so this is fact just another hostile takeover. Just one of your members getting greedy and finding a nice little target that hardly can fight back.

I assume it's the standard "If I take your isle, it's nothing personal. If you try to take it back, it becomes personal." deal? I'll tell poor Baldhug that

Baldhug is aware that some big players hunt multis, but he was not aware of these colony thefts, and how they work. That's why he claimed he isn't a multi.

Be aware if anyone tries that colony theft with anyone in Morkin or our friends again, it's becomes personal real quick. And your alliance just went on my personal 'bad persons' list

Should we pact [Dinos] to make certain that PISSED-OFF-SARAH and M8KWR can see they shouldn't mess with him again. [Dinos] is part of the federation, but the military might of the federation is laughable at present.

Just for the record - should have mentioned this before - BaldHug and I work together. He is a computer engineer and work as a developer.

Also, I work with johema of a completely different alliance.

Baldhug has approached me (in Danish) for an alliance, after these events. It's a small alliance, with only 3 players able to field battleworthy fleets, but they are willing enough to fight with us if needs be.

Anybody against it? Any comments at all? Or should I simply implement it?
