Just so everyone knows in advance and there is no misunderstanding; ouroboro13 of [Morkin] had sent a colonisation fleet to this island before the weekend due to arrive at: 09.11.2005 16:40:43.

While checking on the status of his fleet today he noticed that dheath has now colonised this island; unfortunately his fleet is well past recall.

While we can discuss this further once we know the damage: He is happy to pay any compensation at that time and if necessary either assist in the return of the island or make alternate arrangements as appropriate.

OK, has your man sent any catapults? If not then his attack will bounce off. If he has then we may be getting into realms of compensation, which I'm sure can be sensibly agreed on.

Highlights a good practice: Don't send cats when colonising a score 1 island!

I just dont get why people feel they have to throw everything they,ve got at 1 point isles!! theres no need to use a cat at all on one of these as manin buildin is always at number one, and u only need cats if u want to knock down buildings. my most successful colony attempts have bin with 30 small warships and 60 stonies, u dont have ANY increased chance of colonising by sendingt more army, its luck of the draw. Please could u let ure members no this, it may save diplomacy time in future, and means everyone risks less, ie, if he had sent that size fleet, all i would have done in response 2 ure message is build my main house up 2 lvl 2 and not bother puttin any defence on at all, that way he couldnt colonise and he wouldnt lose ANY of his ships, as it is the likelehood is there will be heavy losses on both sides. Thanks for lettin me know anyway, but, I have to keep that isle, its 25 mins from my main ocean 15 outpost, which means strategically its very useful to me 4 shiftin resources, anyway, its all in the hands of the gods now, lets see wot happens
