As some might remember I asked whether the presence of Darcaracnid in my neighbourhood (15:42) poses any danger to Dawn. Some of you contacted him and I got a verbal OK.
Here is the follow-up:

So please refrain from establishing colonies in 15:40 - 15:42 sectors. Natmus and davidjwest await further notice.

He has a colony in 15:52, where I also have one. I had hoped to get more in 15:52 eventually.

What? Could you translate that into English or Gobbledygook please as I'm fluent in several languages but gibberish isn't one of them

I guess I have been lackadaisical for too long with maintaining the politics threads I created (then again, they would be lost anyway, right Robert ? ;D ) but there has been a fair amount of correspondence between Colmfinito, DarkAracnid and me and Shipper, Nomad (to a lesser extent but still) following the incident with Sohei's evil admin Mantaray. I've also been in touch with quite a few defectants of Sohei including Neuralnet, Rags, Hakello, Julian and Chiefy, so my apologies for a less than average presence on the forums. Colmfinito is a diplomat of VI, he's half Irish, half Dutch and quite sensible for his age. He also writes pertfectly. He is my first personal bodyguard, a youngster of 15, doesn't it makes you feel real stupid ?!? DarkAracnid is some sort of friend of Colm (Colm is in fact his real name) but as you've noticed he also has an agenda of his own. He is foremost VI but there are certain developments expected in the near future for which he clearly wants to prepare. Wether that's "desperately prepare" or just "thoughtfully prepare", I cannot say. Shipper is also VI and ranks 6th while Nomad used to be admin of last Eclipse before they decided to disband in order to avoid growing attention from certain elements within Wraith. I do not know the exact reasons for that, but was asked not to spread the information about their deliberate disbanding too much, so consider that classified please. As some of you may remember, Last Eclipse was the only one that decided to grant us a peace treaty of the major alliances, but with hindsight it may very well have been that Silentassasin, the former diplomat of L-E and friend of Nomad, knew about the coming dissolving of L-E and thought to himself "Oh hell, why not". Members of VI joined other alliances and for as far as i have been able to follow them, most joined alliances that are in line with the charcter of L-E. After staying on his own for a while Nomad joined VI. I spoke to him a couple of times and he is quite okay. I guess not that many folks dare to approach the big players that well, lest it be that they are spottty teenager morons asking stupid questions like "do you have spare resources ?" and "dude one-a tm uhp wit mi allieance ?". Anyway, Nomad is 35 like most of us, but temporarily not that much online anymore. Hibernation I assume. The bear is destined to come out after the attack of K6. Now what the thingy is K6 I hear you shout. Good question, even VI doesn't uite know but they are convinced Lhunmoth is in it and this group of suuposedly 6 players has gotten bored with Inselkampf and want to blow it up by wiping out all the major alliances in one great ragnarok like battle. It is said the future is always born in pain... <lol> Between the 6 of them they are rumoured to have 10.000 ships, or something like that. My main source for this has been Colm. But I remember having asked Fearless some time ago about wether he knew something was boiling in the higher echelons of Inselkampf and he replied: Date: 30.08.2005 11:31 From: fearless Subject: RE: RE: secrets just steer clear of all the top players and alliances for the forseeable future, if people want your colony and tell u to hand it over ull need to choose wether to fight for it and loose everything or just loose the colony but besides that u shouldnt get too much trouble.

That's all fine by me, as long as it does not end *my* account or [Morkin]'s for that matter, if you see my point ;~)

Lots of questions, and im afraid i cant tell you much. If i revealed wot i knew it would end my account.
You will have to see lik every one else. For the time being there is not much I can make of this, but for lovers of conspiracy theories it's great stuff I'm sure. In the meantime Colm said the following about DarkAracnid: Date: 15.09.2005 19:11 From: colmfinito Subject: RE: Shipper, Nomad, DarkAracnid Hey Marc, hehe, thanks, i like to think that VI is the best alliance ever! but it probably isnt. Darkaracnid told me to get some more pacts together so when the levee breaks on this k6 thing we aren't on our own. It's entirely up to you whether you want to get involved or not. Personally, i wouldn't. This is going to get messy, and as a growing alliance you could do without it. If Darkaracnid asks, say i tried really hard. he probably won't, but if he does, id like to try to make him think that im doing something. ah well dinner now, salmon!

Date: 12.09.2005 16:58 From: colmfinito Subject: RE: RE: k 6 nomad is new to VI, i dont know much about him. shipper is a bit of a mythological character too, despite his having been in VI for a considerable time. To me, mane, madhunter, ltempero, shipper and ratem all blur into one, although lte is a little more vocal and active in alliance matters.

Date: 11.09.2005 18:40 From: colmfinito Subject: k 6 have you heard about this k6 plan? its 6 players that are bored of IK and want to take VI and Wraith down, plus destroy all the german players. They brag of having 10 000 warships between them, which, admittedly, is more than 6 times what i have, but still isnt *that* many. we only know lhunmoth who is in it for sure, we can only guess of other players. anyway, i was just telling you in case you had hard anything of it, and on the off hand chance it might affect you later.
----------
[/Date: 07.09.2005 18:00 From: colmfinito Subject: RE: DarkLady that's IK for you, pacts don't mean all too much to a lot of people, theyre only taken seriously by the weaker side. as a rule, people who you dont talk to much wont think much of your pact. its survival of the fittest, you dont have the army to enforce the pact, so theres nothing you can do about it. if i were you id get used to it, alliances and people have so many pacts, to honour them all would be impossible. thats why i dont make pacts, i just stick up for my friends. darklady is unknown to me, never been in vi. the only thing you can do is gossip about this. not formally, like on your webpage that would be downright rude, but mention it "casually" to your friends, like you did with me, make sure mantaray gets a reputation. after all, the pen is mightier than the sword... Now this is serious reading, and obviously I've got a lot more where that came from, but for what it's worth I wanted to put it out in the open in case there's anything useful and thoughtprovoking in it, now that DarkAracnid seems bent on establishing a secondary base of operations outside his own VI territories. As Hinted at before I am still on the case of Mantaray (of Sohei) in order to make him pay for nudging us and setting Archibald back 11 days. Since that was mostly my work, I take it personal, that's obvious. And indeed the pen is mightier than the sword at times, although I prefer to strike a balance between physical and rhetorica might. ;)l I have spread the word about Mantaray's misconduct to a number of key (now ex-) Sohei members, but their leaving is not my doing, although it may have influenced them in the end perhaps, who knows ? I have also turned to Shipper as he has had dealings with Sohei and VI in general has set itself up as court of justice for bullying and such. He is most interested, but as a 24 year old with a girlfriend he was distracted of late by meeting his possible future parents in law for the first time, oh the joys of youth. My reasoning was that the enemies of my enemies are my friends and what better thing to do than ask Shipper to nudge Mantaray in the right direction ? Now this may still go awry, but at least the prospects are good and I'm still busy with it. To be continued. Hope all of this has gotten you abreast of some things.

You know, you should write that up in a novel. Impressive!
Nice work.
