OK, let's get something out there. How about:

Or possibly, more seriously: Non mihi, non tibi, sed nobis - Not for you, not for me, but for us -

Perhaps Jad's Paradise of Souls should be substituted for some different, but generally I like it.

"The Lions of Al-Rassan" by Guy Gavriel Kay. It's a modification of what a character called Roderigo Belmonte says in defence of his working as a mercenary.

Ah, I though it was in his Lord of Emperors. Must re-read Lions someday soon. I rather like my latin text though...

Although having missed this discussion, I am quite happy with what you've all come up with and what we therefore currently got on our page, but it is interesting what one of my contacts commented after having looked at our alliance page.
Colmfinito of [.:VI:.] was supposed to look at *my* page but misunderstood and evaluated our alliancepage instead:
your alliance page is quite nice, the devil's dictionary quote was funny, and some simple latin. but it isnt very informative. true, it tells people what kind of an alliance you are, that you arent a "dnt fck wid us" type of alliance, but its a bit too articulate for most people, you might like to "dumb it down" a bit. after all, that page isnt for your benefit but for other people's.
I do not desire any change, our page is fine as it is, but still; he might have a point somewhere, most likely at the end of his sentence. ;D

If its Ok with everyone!

I can't see no reason for it, it's all the same to me.
