I say we attack as Morkin and don't split up! Those who are a bit tired of Ik can simply build up forces with a just 1 min-a-day log in! Where simply getting bored of having no fight whatsoever! Some action will bring our despondency levels back to Zero...and Christmas is the perfect time to start some. In victory or defeat 'till death do us part (where have I heard this before... ;D)

My heart and my will go all in favor of feeding the everlasting, all-encompassing, munificent flame of totality. Let's be really strong. Then we take the pregnant dog. Then we take the cuckolds who attacked us, finalizing with aviangaff. Then we see. A good day to die here would be Dec22, Yule.

I think you all know what I think about this... I'm only sad that account is not immediately deleted. Imagine: fleet after fleet after fleet of ghost players. Ahhhh... that would be something to remember (at least for those attacked ;D). Winter solstice sounds great. I doubt that anyone will notice, not even dicklaydee, but it means something to this bunch of bad MOFOs, damn it! As for nominations, cockalaydee and avinamuff sound OK. We should make only couple of targets, not too much. To inyati and all the others who feel bad about big bang: it was talked about from the very start, IIRC. And few more months is enough time to grow big. And if anyone decides to leave in the meantime, I won't mind. It is braver to continue playing than to split, but that's the way some of us feel now. Who knows what will we be thinking in two months.

To inyati and all the others who feel bad about big bang... Please people dont get me wrong. What upset me was the breaking news. When our Administrator says beforehand he is going to leave, that carrys a lot of weight. I´m not saying that it´s bad, I´m just stating the fact! His words will and are shifting this whole alliance. Let me split my thoughts out better: 1- I came to Morkin as a stranger but I pledge total loyalty to its name. I like the group and I think it´s a hell of a good Alliance! I dont think there are many as good as ours. We have worked as a winning team should work. 2- I dont wont to split something good, when spliting means breaking up and not expansion. So I´m staying!! 3- I´m also getting tired of just upgrading and want some action. 4- I for one think that we should and are capable of taking out DL now. I´ve said so before. But I dont see that as big bang. Not on our side at least. Maybe to her it will be. 5- Avian dude will be kamikazi assault. 6- I want to make the best contribuition possible to aid this alliance in its war effort. 7- Unfortunatly right now I dont have the force necessary in my opinion to make the best contribuition possible for the kamikazi assault, but I do have one for DL. Granted in 2 months time I´ll be stronger (so will they), but what of the others? Archibald_the_Grim, Dalfiatach, Freiegeister, Guinevere, Hasbrudal, Hilander, Iserath, Lobath, Maroc, Matija, MMU-Patton, Orvindor, ouroboro13, robillard, SoulCatcher, Shendemiar and Xuratoth? There is still a lot of people who have not given their opinion, and they must! As I said before the Administratores words are shifting the alliance to another direction. Now I want to go along, but I dont want to launch a handful of ST´s on avian as if a fly hit him. Nor do I want to suffer beforhand an attack that will kick me off the chess board. So if its armageddon on 22 Dec. then I´m in it, but there better be some good planning, and helping out of the smaller players for them to at least not feel like they´re some kinda burden on you big fellows!

I do not see ANY of my fellow Morkiners as a burden or as lower ranking members. Heck, I'm now in the top few members (>1k) and I've never demanded an honorary post. I've even taken a diplomatic duty despite the fact I didn't liked it, and carried it (I hope) well. I moaned, granted, but I always moan. Btw, I'm playing TWO IK sessions, one here and one on 7th .de server. So, I do feel somewhat fed up. But as you said, I'm also too small to be dangerous. In two month's time I might be and then I'll decide what to do. But you must admit that War of the Solstice sounds incredibly good. Well, at least for me...

I echo Perun. Armageddon was mooted at the start when we formed the alliance it wasn't discussed much is all. I am neither a big fish, nor a new starter, but I have never seen anybody as a burden, nor will I in any alliance I am in. That is why I follow the split path, to give ANYONE who chooses to stay protection from any retaliation. I also believe that now is the right time to talk about it and set a date, as it gives everybody the time to choose.
I can only speak for myself, but personally I am not swayed by anybody, admin or not, the only debate for me, is name, plan, date and coordination. I decided months ago that my foot is in the Armageddon camp, this game does not have the same long term appeal to me that MMU has, and i do not want to slink away, I want to cause some bloody trouble before I go!
Perhaps being a diplomat has helped form this opinion. Some of the "players" outside this alliance are total fu.ckwits, who I have to be polite to; when in RL I would either have reported them to the relevant authorities or put them in hospital. Does that sound arrogant? Perhaps so, but this is a personal opinion. When Marc was attacked by one of OUR OWN, words cannot express how I felt having to sit back whilst other bullies protected her. I am going to have trouble containing myself before the 22nd December for that one, I can assure you.
And as for that wan.ker Avianlaff, if I had the skills I would hack his account and seriously ruin his day, because no rules or honour can be applied to that tw.at.
Apologies, this is very virulent for me I know. Its been building, I am not being "influenced" though. Sorry, rant over, back in box

Project Winter Solstice (PWS) is officially initiated!
(BTW, have you seen my personal page in IK? It has been saying "In the beginning there was Winter Solstice" all along!!!!).
Just to clear thigns a bit. From the early stages of this alliance we were discussing that one day we would hit some enemy and then leave the game. The thought that we would keep playing until we had 100 colonies and 1000 cats was not very realistic as time is an issue for all of us.
The incentive for proposing the idea that more or less has been on our minds for some time was that more and more members begin to feel bored, or unwilling to commit to this game. This to me means that the principal reason for playing this game (ie see [Morkin] grow as a result of team effort) would eclipse. Hence I went along with the Big Bang idea.
I believe that PWS gives us all a reason to play until December. It gives us focus, an objective and room for planning and coordination. I think that it might provide an incentive for all Morkins to work towards the same goal, a goal that differs perhaps from the initial one, but nevertheless a goal. Having Morking work towards the same objective is therefore happening again, and that's the best reason for me to play!
I propose that all of us who intend to participate, put PWS on our pages :-)

How about this one:
The big bang theorists all join an alliance we don't like, or the alliance of someone who we don't like.
Then, when we do big bang, it might make things a bit tasty for our enemy, after we all leave the game of course.
Maybe not practicle but amusing if we could pull it off!

However, I would rather go down in flames with fellow Armageddonists, but if the concensus is that this infiltration option would sow chaos, in fighting and confusion, to the benefit of the non-Armageddonists, I will go along!

I've been wondering for quite awhile now what the point of this game was. I'd much rather be playing LOM. Think the idea of going out with a bang is excellent. One more colony and I'm joining the arms race.
