Trade with xalthorn-[Serenity]

After Ashimar´s excelent diplomatic moves, I started talks with xalthorn of [Serenity], to cut a Trade deal.
Discusing prices for Stones, Lumber and Stone Throwers.
Will post details as soon as negociations end.

This is the deal I got with him. I posted directly all messages sent, so as everybody knows the first post is at the bottom, and last conversation is at the top.

Those proposals looks fine, and as you say, it's meeting halfway.

So, to clarify, and these prices apply to all trades either way:

To buy 1 stone thrower = 65 gold
To buy 2 lumber = 3 gold
To buy 5 stone = 1 gold

If we agree the prices, then I guess we would have to nominate contacts who can answer questions about available resources.

I was hoping we could take into account the fact that both alliance´s share a good relation, plus that we are only 2 hours apart (trade is faster than through the market), and payment is certain. We could down the price of lumber given these facts.
Lets meet half way:
1,5 gold - 1 lumber
65 gold - 1 Stone Thrower
0,2 - 1 Stone

Stone throwers I usually aim to buy at about 60 gold each, but I'm more than happy to mix some stone in there as well.

I'm sure if we keep playing with numbers we'll come to something that we're both happy with.

1,2 Gold for 1 Lumber
70 Gold for Stone throwers

or if you want to add stones to the figures we could say each rock values at 0,2 Gold?

I think its quite a good deal, and could be used as a diferent source than the usual market. I´ll accept the deal, unless anyone else thinks we should make a different offer.

Catapults.
We did not discuss Catapults which is a trading good. I´d like to here your views on what they could cost, and if you´d also be interested in leasing them instead of selling?

To be honest, I hadn't even considered extending this to my alliance as initially I was expecting to send resources to you folks by myself.

However, now we have agreed such a trade, I will post the table of costs in the alliance.

That way people from each alliance will be able to contact each other to see if they have any resources for trade.

We didn't discuss catapults as it's not something I tend to trade in, however I expect people in both alliances will be interested in a cost for those so we'll probably need to work something out.

A central store is a good idea, but all of my members have a minimum storage of 38,000 capacity on their main isle (I have a capacity of over 230,000) and therefore probably don't need to use one.

It definitely needs a little fine tuning, but we can get started if there are any trades needed as this is sorted out.

I've had a thought.

One of the problems we will face is not knowing what resources are available and therefore risk 'pestering' of members of each alliance asking for what is available.

How about this, one of the alliance members who can post announcements takes available trade resource counts from members and forwards this list to his 'opposite number' in the other alliance. The lists are then published as an announcement so that people know what is available.

When a player makes a trade, they tell the 'list holder' who can update the list.

For example, we could have the following:

Name : Location : Resources
Bill : 1:23:45 : 500 stone, 200 lumber, 20 throwers
Sid : 2:34:56 : 100 stone, 5000 lumber

and so on.

It would require some coordination and attention, but I think it would work out worthwhile.

Yes David, if you could dump 1000 stone+1000 wood on the isle of user Ghostwheel (our new spying account) every now and then, that would greatrly expedite construction of the infrastructure in order to build SWs for major covert spying operations.

Alternatively, I can always use wood on Slimane 15:14:1 and 14:49:23 main. But only if you are bursting and can spare the merchants.
