I've just been contacted by Harvey(31:28:24)
He has expressed interest in joining Morkin.
I have said that the alliance is strictly for players of another on line game, but saw mention of a feeder alliance "Friends of Morkin". Is this up and running yet?

No, as far as I know it's not yet up and running. One of the issues is that one of us needs to be admin of them and at the same time have exclusive access (preferrably by being in those two alliances at the same time) to our ingame messageboard. So far, David J. has shown interest for that.
It should be made clear that even while they join the spin off alliance, it is not automatically a steppingstone to get into Morkin anytime soon. But they are requiered to abide by our standards of play. Because of the name linkage, whatever they do right or wrong will reflect on us. They need to be fully aware of that, so that means that we must also be selective for that spin off who to take and who to refuse.
I have looked up this Harvey and the problems I see are these: He doesn't disclose much about himself, his island has the same name he does,, how extremely creative. Land of the big boobs at least stands for something ! ;D Furthermore he is surrounded in his grid by [Wraith] members. I hate to say it, but that spells trouble for [Morkin] if we associate with him. We can't defend him against them and he is far away from our usual tradinglines. So offering him a place in our spin off alliance may not help him out at all. I would vote for helping him find one of our fellow alliances that would take him. I have ideas for that already if he decides to take that up.
Unless he can come up with some really good arguments in favour of him joining the future spin off, that is.

I made it quite clear that he would not be able to join Morkin.
He told me he only plays once a week!
I had attacked him as I thought he was inactive.
If he is not able to join Friends of Morkin then if he could be passed on to another alliance that would be good.
Check out my coordinates and you will find I had the misfortune of starting in the middle of Wraith territory. Infact the group of isles to my immediate South is owned by cervotoc. He owns all 16 islands in the that group.
I also had the misfortune of launching an attack against an island he'd just colonised. Luckily, I was able to placate him by reimbursement and flattery.

Hang 0n - Land of the Big Boobs rings a bell - isn't he one of our members' brothers or brother in laws? JY perhaps?

Yes it is, but I was merely giving an example I like ;D Congratulations on [E~F] by the way. We should also get [-E-] I think, as it is closely related to [L-E], do you have time on your hands ? To Raven, that is bad that you're in [Wraith] territory. But good that you managed to keep Cervotoc at peace. Good relations may help. Do focus on wall lvl 20 plus loads of spearfighters and archers. Casts and shiops aren't that useful I've found to keep them off your island. Too expensive, takes too long to build and doesn't yield enough defense per resources spend.

This has been over-discussed, over-voted, but I am still not getting a clear picture of what we want to do.
Got this:

If we´re all heading for armageddon why redirect people to a "friends of Morkin" alliance, when Morkin may not existe after Solstice? In any case why not consider [Misfts] or [:.PWI.:] as our "friends of Morkin" alliances. Both have M/MU players as Administratores!!!

At what point do we inform our two allied sister societies then of our apocalyptic plans ?
Not too soon of course, but perhaps not the day after either ?

I'd be tempted to go along the lines of..."In two hours time the combined forces of....etc..."
