This one coud go in [BUGS] section, IMHO, but I'll post it here, since I think it's consequences are intentional.
It's not logical not to get shelter in friendly keeps/citadels. I often get very tired when I arrive to some keep. When I seek - nothing happens. Or I have to seek couple of times (and lose the whole day) to get refreshed.
You would think that there're bunch of deserters in there - not helping their own leaders... I agree that seeking things out in the open can be tricky and with surprising, ,even bad results - but in own strongholds? They should ALWAYS be helpful.

And i make my point also here, once again. I agree with Perun, Strongholds should be more useful than the outlands. Make Seek button act as Refresh, to get certain amount of refreshment automatically. This would be most easy to impliment.
Citadel Chance=100, itemfound=refresment[amount medium]
Keep Chance=100,itemfound=refreshment[amount=small]
Villages Chance=80,itemfound=refreshment[amount=small]

That would make sense, if you could only seek once. As things are now, you can get refreshed multiple times, or not at all. I believe JY said he will raise a chance to get refreshment a little. Anything else would mean completely changing the system.

Of course, one lord can get refreshed only once a day at one stronghold (just like in original, but without losing ability to use refreshment again later). Taking chances makes sense only out in the open, like it is now.

Wouldn't it make sense that the more time you spent inside, the more you'll be refreshed, by 100% chance and small amount. (would be easiest to implement also)

No, i mean that you definitely would find refreshment inside a keep or citadel, but the amount would be fairly low. That way you could choose how much you want to rest and spend time on that. If you wantd little refreshmen, yoi just searched once. And for more, you would search many times. Finding shelter in friendly stronghold should not be random. I meant that the amount would be so small that seekinkg many times would be nessessary for completely exhausted ones. I strongly criticise highening the amount any further. It's just not realistic that exhausted army recovers just in few hours. Anything else would mean completely changing the system. IMHO this is not that kind of change that would completely change the system, i think this would not change the system at the slightes. (And what's the point anyway? No changes ever, whatsoever?) It would not: - Affect anything else that Keep, Citadels and perhaps villages.
- Chance midnight's special nature a bit (like technology, siegemachines, trade, etc, would do.)
- Change the fact that you can refresh yourseves in strongholds.
- Change the game mechanics. (this suggestion would be the most easiest to add to the system)
- Crush down gamebalace.
It would: - Affect only Keep, Citadels and perhaps villages.
- Change the concept of "finding magical potins" to simple "rest for a certain time to get rest"
- Make sure that exhausted army is to recover in stronghold in certain time. (1-2 days)
- Make sure that little refreshment would take less time than large refreshment.
- It would make strongholds a bit better.
