The dwarves strike again! Dregrim (UC/I), with 1000 riders attacked Fadrath (VC/SI) with 2200 warriors. When it was my turn again, Dregrim was dead, and Fadrath had 2000 warriors left.

Another thing: I think citadels are a bit too strong... just a tad, you know, me having killed Chris' six lords while defending with 5 half-armies... it's true he struck in waves, but still...

Matija, I hate to do this, but I have to compliment you for your placement of your forces. It seems impossible to find a place for me to threathen one of your keeps without also coming into range of the sencond as well, and thus risk a davastating first strike from you... Nevermind, I'll figure something out

Thank you and I'm sure you will. Besides, you have a big advantage over me in this one, and you're bound to win it.

Damn the Dragons, all men forward!
So, Matija, how about an epic battle to finish off this one?

Man, did you get off lightly at that keep. The battle algorithm is down to 'girlie' again. How did the casualties look from your side?

I think each of my lords lost 1000 - 1500, but don't really remember. Zerin slew more than 1000.
Also, I had the keep bonus, maybe that's why I didn't suffer so much.

If I lose this game I shall never know. I'm serious! Henstly, Mads, aren't you over-reacting just a little bit? I agree that the old algorithm and bonuses were generally more balanced, but we both know that they were nevertheless broken. Sometime it's necessary to break things further in order to fix them, or take a step or two backwards to allow for moving forwards again. Our role is surely to help J-Y towards a result that is neither broken nor unbalanced. You are quite correct in saying that 14 armies should annuhilate 4 armies plus a dragon, even when the defenders are in a citadel. But if you didn't hit the problem in this game, how would anyone really know what the effect is in practice?
