Some improvements suggested by Mads:
- blank map creation - domain indicator
and
- few bugfixes
Get it from the Lair and enjoy!

A few notes:
Domain colour is not shown for the tile selected in description window.
It would be nice if domain indicator would show the domain colour (either the small square or the pin could be coloured)
Domain indicator doesn't indicate domain 0 (on purpose?)
It would be nice if when setting descriptions and domains, the last entered description / domain would already be selected.
Description and domain in actual view would also be nice.

It is too much work to sit and assign each cell a domain by special clicks and communication boxes. I just finished putting domains on a small map (20*20), and only 11 different domains, and it took forever and gave me a sore wrist from all that mouse clicking and typing numbers. I dare not think of how this method would work on larger maps. I would suggest that domain numbers can be painted on the map like the features. I think that should be doable without too much difficulty, judging by how fast you implemented domains yesterday. The functionality of the features painting is good can should be copied: simply choose 'paint domains' instead of 'paint features', and the user simply click one time for each cell. Apart from that I really like the new features regarding domains: colours, maps and the ability to toggle on and off domain indicators. If we sort of agree these thing work, and we can make maps and assign domains to them, what else do we need to make our own M/MU campaigns?

Multiselect works in the description window, no need to set things one by one.

If you mean that highligt in description tree obscures the domain's color box, I'm aware of the problem (it bothers me too ) and will deal with it ASAP. Nice one. Will do. Yes. I presume that domain 0 would be left for non-domained (mostly FWs) cells. Am I right? It makes good sense to me. Now the current value is selected, which I think is default behaviour in every app out there. You have the combo with 16 previous description values, sorted alphabetically. I might add one option for that behaviour, how's that (display current value/display last entered value)? Yeah, I've been thinking about this and already put that on to-do list. Thanks Matija!

I uploaded a text map (mmf) into Unimapgen and added a few descriptions. However, the save Unimapgen project option is greyed out. Can only maps created with unimapgen be saved as projects?

I dare not think of how this method would work on larger maps. Matija already answered this - extended multiselect in description/domain tree. It's not quite that easy, but you're right, painting domains was my first choice, but since I had already implemented descriptions it seemed easiest to just copy their implementation and so I did that. Da.mn, unimapgen starts looking/behaving like mesced! Maybe I'll abandon further development of it (mesced) ... Good, I'm glad. Btw, I'm thinking of scaling small maps to fit in domain statistics map. Sounds OK? 'Nuff said. ;D Thanks, Mads.

Yes, for now. Projects were meant to be created inside unimapgen, but now I see that this is too restrictive. I will enable saving projects regardless of creation method.

I have uploaded a file to the Yahoo Groups containing my first attempt to make a small map with domains, if anybody want to look at it. Sniff (wipes the single tear from a corner of his eye). It is so rewarding to see product of yours to be actually used. I'm totally honestly proud. It's great for me! Now I have the feeling all those hours were not in vain. Keep them coming! Hey, why don't someone create new thread or forum for user-made maps?

Just a brief info:
- highlight no longer obscures colorboxes (description tree and domain stats) - domain map now automatically resizes cells to optimally fill the grid box (domain stats) - saving of project files is now possible regardless of creation method - domain color boxes in description tree are slightly bigger (16x16, like terrain boxes) - terrain boxes in description tree are now framed - all trees now have proper toolwindows for text that doesn't fit into column width
This version, v2.62, is not yet publicly availble. I'm now working on implementing variable-colored pins Matija suggested. If you have any (reasonable) feature requests, state them here quickly and they may find their way into this release.
