I'm the good guy. And I listen. So, here's what's new in LOMRMEx v1.80: - new, modern look with plenty of glyphs all over
- floatable toolbar for easy access to all functions
- support for PNG image format for loading/saving images (compression level 5, hardcoded)
- export to HTML maps, Midnight/MU compatible
- individual color for each terrain type
- color legend for preview images
- new credits in about box
- lot of internal changes and tweaks
Lair is still down , so you think that you cannot dowload the newest LOMRMEx? You are of course wrong! Here's the direct link to it: LOMRMEx v1.80 . Note:Be careful when exporting map images to PNG format - I tested it with 8192x8192 image size (256x256 map, no grid) and it works, but the memory demands are huge, even twice or thrice comparing to BMP! Also, color depth is still 32-bit (24-bit). Will look to it in later releases. Praises and critics welcome.

Not good enough! Next time I expect you to include my suggestions BEFORE I make them. Seriously, a BIG thank you. You are right about the PNG format, of course. Since it requires compression, the final files are smaller but the memory usage is higher than that used by uncompressed formats.
