It is always a problems with turn based games, I realise. One side can move through the day and catch opponents waiting for their turn with their units still at Dawn. If they had been allowed their movement they wouldn't be in that spot where they were caught at the time the attacker arrived there. (Hope you understand what I mean)
The original single player game solved this by making all free armies move only by day, and the foul armies move solely by day. No problems there.
But several players all moving by turns at day can give problems. I just discovered one strange thing: one day my force inside a citadel moved just outside to attack an enemy force. Battle rages and the next turn, when I can move again, the enemy is away from the spot they were attacked at. Instead they had moved inside the citadel (through my forces?).
Of course I have moved my units to follow. Wonder how the battle modifiers handle that one. Do my units get a defence bonus?

Yes, this is the problem with multi-user LOM that has been bugging me from day 1. You will get the defence bonus for the garrison fighting the enemy on the enemy's night, and for both the garrison and your army once they move into the citadel on your following night. Basically, every night, whoever is in a friendly stronghold gets a defence bonus.

Neutral lords + garrisons, when at the same location of "my" and "enemy's" armies, just wait for the victor to appear? I would try to kick both troublemakers out of my frontyard...

It has some historical background, though. I vagualy remeber that in a battle between Clovis and the last Roman King, can't recall his name at the moment, another king, who will also stay anonymous for the present, stood by and promised his fealty to the winner.
Clovis executed him at a later time IIRC.
