Did you change the starting position code?
All my starts so far were very different than before.
How is everyone else finding it?

I changed the code to use mt_srand() and mt_rand() functions rather than srand() and rand().
Previoulsy, this had not seemed to make an awful lot of difference when testing on my dev PC, but I seem to be getting a better random spread too on the live server - they are using a much older version of PHP, don't knoew whether that's relevant.

i have had perfectly random starts, and except for the small nuisance of mountain predominance in that sample, it looks alright...

How is everyone else finding it? I haven't experienced any differences in LOM, but I wouldn't judge from the few games yet. Still have a hang-up about the NW

I've started 10 games and all of them bar one have been to the north of Dawn/Blood and 5 close to Ushgarak! But it's OK! Is it completely random where you start? OK so not so random you start in the icy wastes but you know what I mean! ;D

starting positions are randomly allocated but:
- players start in mutually exclusive quadrants - you won't start less than 4 rows or 4 columns from a lord
