OK, Deadline looms and as per usual I'm behind just when I thought that I was on target. d**n those pesky bugs! To move things along, I would be very grateful if someone could help out with Feature x, the up-to-now oh-so-secret new feature that was going to be in 0.2a but will now probably drop back to a later release. What's the feature? Oh, just multi-player DDR. Nothing too exciting... Here's what's needed: Request 1:Chris has very kindly sent me the DDR gfx, but at present they are all embedded into a single bitmap (per terrain type). I would be very grateful if someone could cut them out, rename them as per my requirements, set their background to transparent (they should be in PNG format), and make a note of the width and height of each new gfx. Request 2 (less urgent):Could someone create a SMALL map, say 20x20, with a citadel/lord in each quadrant? This map will be used a training scenario for new players. Other than the citadels, it needs all of the LoM features. Best is to use UniMapGen as then I get both the text map AND the SQL. Both are used in M/MU (for speed purposes only, otherwise it would all be SQL-driven). Lord and placenames are up to you. Any takers? .

OK, here's the brief for Request 2: 2 deliverables required: 1 - Map in old fashioned MU text format, dimensions about 20x20 up to 20x30 eg "FFF MM TC ZT N MMM", etc...
No need to surround it with frozen wastes, the system will add that. UnimapGen will handle the terrain types for you (eg C=Citadel, E=Lake, etc) 2. SQL Insert statements for each of these locations: eg: INSERT INTO MAP_MapLocations(MAP_SCN_ID, MAP_TTY_ID, MAP_Row, MAP_Column, MAP_Description, MPD_DOM_ID) VALUES(0, "C", 4, 5, "The Citadel of Muhaha", {1-4})
{1-4} will be an ID between 1 to 4 representing the Domains in this scenario. For simplicity's sake, 1 will cover all of NW quadrant say, 2=NE, 3=SW, 4=SE. If you're not sure what I mean, just 1 will do for each line and I can sort it out later. Again, UnimapGen will do most of this, and I can insert the necessary amendments later. Many thanks

Fire 'em off in my direction, together with any other details I need to know. I should be able to spare an hour or three to get 'em converted for you.

Managed to fix two really, really annoying and persistent bugs yesterday, but the number of bugs overall for this release has set me back by a few days. Oh well...

Thanks Bill, files are on their way to you. OK. I'll get on with them tonight. No. It should work for you too: username@uklinux.netOf course, so does anything aimed at username@subdomain.uklinux.netbut the subdomain should not be necessary AFAIK. I do have a separate domain registered with uklinux, but I don't think that's it, because that would go to username@mydomain, and not the uklinux.net address.

Jean-Yves, I have sent you a small sampler for approval to the yahoo.co.uk address, and later the full works to the talk21 address.
If you want me to redirect it to another address, let me know. Either way, or if you need any other changes, drop me a line so I know you've received them.

Hi Bill, I no longer use my talk21 account , and only check it about once/month, so please just use the yahoo one. Just to confirm what I said on my email - spot on! JY

The SQL above is incorrect. Instead of MAP_MapLocations, the table is actually MPD_MapDescriptions, and all field prefixes should be MPD_ rather than MAP_ as a consequence.
Sorry about that.

Jean-Yves, can I have that large bitmap(s), please? If that's OK with Chris, of course.
I want to change (decrease size) of the resorce dll "lomgraphics.dll" by using PNG instead of BMP. And it's real pain to deal once again with over 300 separate files...
Thanks in advance!
