Since some of you did it in the thread about the toughest oppenent, here's a chance to do so in a dedicated thread: describe yourself as a Midnight/MU player.
Are you cautious, wily, adventurous, calculating etc.?
It will be interesting to see how each person's own vision of themselves compares to the perception of those who have faced them in the field.

I try to be unpredictable. While I always look at chances and probabilities, sometimes I try to avoid confrontation, sometimes I accept confrontation and sometimes I even look for confrontation. It's dependent on my whims and the overall situation and my opponent. One impression I try to cultivate, and that is if I enter into battle, then I plan to win it, and my opponent should hopefully get cold feet and run away. Unless I have cultivated the second impression that I am bluffing Generally I like making big elaborate plans for a campaign involving all my forces, and then scrap the plan when I suddenly detect a new opportunity and act solely on impulse.

I do not build a strategy. In fact, I am somewhat unable to follow one even if it has been built, by me or by someone else. The reason for this lies in the pillars of my personality, and stems from the fact that I believe that the only certainty in life is that there are no certainties. One should follow the most sensible and goodspirited course, instant by instant. Deep reasoning is to apply at the moment when tactics, and lifesaving decisions, are needed. Not before, nor after. And I hate to look back and see a whole lotta contranatura effort put in place just to have things wrecked and falling like a card castle. In short, where's the enemy?

Cautious overall with a defensive type of play , although prone to bouts of rashness and mad charges just for the sheer joy of it! Not nearly as good as Mads at the bluffing game, nor as good as Ringy at the unpredictability approach. I thought that I was a pretty good recruiter until my eyes were opened by Ringy and his dragon-blockers!

Expansionist/Retreatist
I tend to make a rush for as many lords as possible before withdrawing to a bolthole and attempting to defend one place.
However in my rush to recruit more I tend to slip up and leave lords tired and easy to pick off. But I am adapting and trying to refine my tactics so this doesn't happen as much!

Improving ;D You still need to avoid launching packs of two or three lords into ten-army asteroids... and specially, wait until the time is right to strike. The recruitment bits are fine

Actually, the idea is to see what everyone thinks of himself, then contrast it to the perception opponents might have formed along the way. In my case for instance, I tend to be a bit of a slow starter, but if I get over the recruitment stage with decent numbers I become a much more serious proposition. My approach is generally a bit conservative, though I make an effort not to be too defensive and I try to kep my opponents on their toes at all times. I'm also prone to errors of judgement, which I need to stamp out of my game.

I'm pretty happy with the recruitment phase.
My problem is that I am still in that phase and therefore never get strength in my armies. ie: lords together, they tend to be scattered to the four winds.
