Try searching in the position. It would seem that Faries give Dawn, as well as putting energy and courage to maximum. I think they should give all warriors present a horse as well, so I had an all rider army, but that's just me. I wonder if Faries continue after J-Y's birth day, or they are a one day wonder

Yes, they are here to stay, unless people really don't like them. They give you max courage, max energy (for lord AND army) and also Dawn. I'm hoping that they will add a little spice to the game.
There are 8 per game at present (in games since new release only). If that's too high, I'll drop it down to 5.
Btw, the wolves don't yet do anything Ringy. They are there to prove (to myself) that the code for xenos works for more than 1 race (horses) - I did them before implementing fairies, and decided to keep them. The code is now almost completely generic (apart from the results of Seeks), so ANY race could be added very quickly.
If the Here button does not show the fairy then that is a bug - please raise it. It will probably also affect wolves and horses.

The days I wasted seeking wolves with a lord of each race...
...if fairies are deployed randomly, then 8 is fine. But if not, then it should come down...
...unless courage wears down with circumstances, which could be fun, hm?

Fairies are deployed randomly, but only in forests.

8 seems balanced, then. I'm not sure, but do they disappear after use?

Yes.
Maybe I should add "and she then disappears in a puff of pink smoke" to the message! Or something ;D
