One task that I have been putting off for some time is a rewrite of the manual. I don't have time to do it right now, so was wondering if anyone else might like to volunteer. I think that both our resident authors (Marie, Andrea) are probably too busy writing their own tomes, but if anyone else fancies a stab?
It does not require perfect English as language problems can be remedied at a later date.
It does not need to be completed by one indvidual - if you fancy doing just one bit (modifying your details, creating games, accepting games, armies, recruiting, general character attributes, seeking, winning, strategy & tactics overview, etc, etc), then that would be helpful
Please note that I will almost certainly edit/rewrite material that is submitted to some extent, so that itmaintains a common tone throughout. Please do not be offended if I do this!
The existing manual can be used as a reference point, though it is very, very out of date and now contains numerous inaccuracies and has many omissions.
Any volunteers?

I'd be happy to do it. I've had some experience putting together flyers, newsletters, etc. Any extra help (such as writing sections) would be great.

Thanks for all the replies. I will sit down at some stage soon and make a list of all sections that are required.
I will post it here, and people can choose which they would like to do.
I will also post a sample section, to give guidance on the style that I am looking for (though if you come up with a better format, that's great!)

OK, struggling a bit (lot) here. I think that what would be best of that I will take the introduction section (how do I explain Luxor and Doomdark riding side by side!) , and others offer a section that they would like to do. There is nothing wrong with 2 people doing 2 versions of the same section - I'll take the best from both What I don't really want is a series of probability percentages or how many hours targ take to go though forests (sorry stats fans ). It needs to be much higher level than that. So for example, if describing movement, a comment along the lines of "The Targ are the horsemasters of Midnight, and their powerful steeds can outrun all other cavalry". Or somehting like that anyway! Please just list what you are doing, then send me in some early drafts so that I can see whether we are all on the same wavelength. The current manual can be used to get you going, but as I said it's out of date (and too terse). One thing that I will be doing myself is a point-and-click interactive page whereby a main view is shown and the user can click on, say, the Seek button and description pops up to display an overview. Sorry about being so vague.

Isn't it easier to tell newbies to look at my movement costs thread?
