I would be sad to see the end of Forge of Legends as I'm just about to make my move after turns of preparation. Plus I'm sure something will kick off in Ball of Confusion now that Night Moose has killed my Plainsman. However, I agree with Fernando, and will go with the majority.

In most games, we have a good idea who the winner might be, or we know the forces are levelled. So, I think the 0.1g should be implemented immediately after it is finished, wins rewarded where the players can agree upon a winner, and all the other games dropped. We should remember that the purpose of our gaming is to test the beta, not to enjoy ourselves.

Added: Matija, I agree with your logic, but that final statement seems a bit, hm, are you tired? ;D

I don't say I'm not enjoying it, quite the opposite, it's great fun. But that should only be considered a side-effect, even when it is the main purpose in the long run.

My opinion is that we should move to the new version immediatly, even if it means a lot of unfinished games.
There are a few of those that I am willing to concede, a few more that I will claim for myself, and some that I will accept being called draws. Especially many games that hasn't gone 10 turns yet is simply to early to call.
However, if it is possible to save the records of the stopped games for scrutiny in case of bloody disagreements, it should be done.

I must admit to having mixed feelings. From a personal PoV there are some really interesting situations in a few games, which are unlikely to be completed by Sunday but could well finish before the next week is out.
OTOH, Matija is right. It is in the interest of development that the change should happen ASAP.
However, I'll warn anyone right now that I won't concede a win to anyone in any game that hasn't reached the final stages, nor will I expect anyone to concede to me either. Personally, I think all unfinished games should written off no matter who is winning, without any need to record some sort of result.

I think the new changes should be implemented as soon as possible. It is a bummer to have to lose the current games but I can't wait to try the new changes!

Man, if we had to have colourful robes assigned to each of us, Matija would be White, Mads Black, Andrea Pink, Bill Red, Dai Blue and I would get a regal Purple longcoat... we all think alike and state our purpose the most possibly opposed ways

Fernandito, it seems to me that we all agree that we want the new version without delay. Why you are putting different coloured robes on us is beyond me. And regarding that, I neverever wear black if I can avoid it. And in what way do my opinion differ from 'white' Matija? We are asked for our opinions, and we give it. Just because we all say almost the same, it doesn't mean that we can't understand what each other say.

I could run off a few queries that gave (per game and per player), total riders, total warriors, average strength of armies, average courage of lords, number of citadels. Then very tight games could be decided *if all parties agreed*. Personally I'd like to get it out on Sunday, but I am also fully aware that you are all doing me a big favour by testing this thing to the nth degree, so I don't want to annoy anyone

I can (and would) wait a bit more to finish my existing games. I think that if we waited this long, we can wait a little bit longer. Don't forget, this is beta-testing what we're doing, so giving JY more time is better than fulfilling our filthy needs to destroy one another (not that I don't like it... ;D). Oh, and I wear black always since I was a boy. It's kinda my preffered color and style.

I don't want to sound rude, but please speak only for yourself. Sorry. I was merely pointing out that the opinions offered that far didn't differ as much as Fernando seemed to think. You are entitled to you opinion, and I respect it, but I didn't know it when I wrote what I wrote. But not mine. Here, take my black robe. Please!

As I said, I didn't want to be rude, just didn't want JY to think that we all are for immediate change... I'm winning in few of the games, so... Sure, send it over! ;D

Where a player can be determined as having a winning position in a game they should be declared the winner, and in other cases just declare someone as having the most forces when it was abandoned.
